That first Reaper encounter might have been the worst possible scenario. - Never encountered one before - In the middle of nowhere, no idea where he is or where he’s going - Dark and murky water that’s impossible to see in; can’t even see the Reaper coming until it’s too late to get away - Reaper, i.e. the loudest creature in the game, doesn’t make a single damn noise until it’s right in his face

I still remember my first encounter with a Reaper like it was yesterday 🥶The roar turned me away several times before but I needed more fragments so I had to explore more around the Aurora wreckage. Pro tip: if a Reaper grabs your Seamoth like that you need to exit it since the Reaper is not after the Seamoth but after you and swimming frantically around the Seamoth and repairing it while trying to put a bit of distance between you and the Reaper really works out well most of the time. Even in Subnautica Below Zero. Another good tip is to have a second air canister with you so long you do not have a Seamoth, but remember to fill it up again after usage. Helps a ton especially while exploring wreckage parts or other underwater structures.

@@shreknoblade2861 wtf i never had a fear of ocean but playing subnautica its a different fear its the fear of the unknown if you watch the game its not that scary but playing it its a way different thing i wasnt as scared as being scared of a sand shark but i once was just exploring around not caring where i were and i somehow found myself in the back of the aurora yea didnt have a nice time seing 5 reapers coming from all directions and i was terrified no way to escape only being able to look into your death and after that encounter i stopped being so scared of all the things i still sometimes got scared of some stuff like exploring the mushroom biome and after hearing the reaper roar hitting a god damn fish ive lost a little bit of my sanity in this game and that part of my sanity still hasnt recovered and i dont think it ever will and being a little scared of the dark just a little nothing big it didnt help but this game actually kinda helped me with it im now not scared about the darkness because i after the meting of the reapers fought to myself whatever can be there its not immortal and you just have to face it and overcome it also after i had all the things done to built a rocket i built a base near those 5 reapers just to watch and thank them for making me know that i should not be scared because its not immortal and what makes it immortal is our fear of it so i built my rocket leaving a screen shoot in the capsule of all the 5 reapers [that i named after they taught me a serious lesson ] and my pet hover fish leaving a comment pls take care of my pet josh and my friends john ,bob,lucy,alehandro and william give them a new friend and perhaps they can help someone overcome their fear like they did to me have a good day

@@owencarey2954 yeah mate I highly recommend ! Another great game that's best to go into with the least possible knowledge is Outer Wilds (not to be confused with Outer Worlds). It's probably my all time favorite game, and has a similar core concept to subnautica ! If yo are even slightly intrigued I could not recommend it more
