Congrats 🎉 I got engaged just over a year ago…thought about doing a civil ceremony and getting married sooner…but I’m glad we waited…God provided a way for us to have our wedding…I was unemployed when we got engaged…so I prioritized finding a job to pay for our wedding…had a hard time with the job search process, but God truly delivered…got the job and was able to pay for our wedding happening in a few weeks. We’re excited for our big day.

This is very encouraging. I am not a Christian, but my ex-husband claimed to be a devout Christian. Turns out that I was a more faithful person than him and we weren’t close to being equally yoked. He constantly cheated, disrespected our marriage, and neglected me and our children. His “pastor” even helped give him alibis to cheat! God told me to move far from my family and I did in August (23) and I have a strong belief I’ll be getting married in August or engaged. 😮‍💨. And like you said there is a lot of testimonies of Christian couples getting married and all of them did not wait over a year. I would like to point out just so it won’t be any confusion. Every Christian person is not called to marriage as you read for many people jn the Bible. God may call a man or a woman to singleness and that person would know that and have great peace with it.
