I actually did used to tweeze my leg hair (and pubic hair) in high school. Not because I wanted the hair gone; I just liked the ritual of plucking hairs and the sensory part of minor pain. I was then diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses.

The product page for the Air 10 still has the same recommendations for skin/hair color as the previous ones & it does NOT say that it will work on dark skin or light hair. I think the confusion is from a diagram for the new Skin Sensor, which adjusts the power based on skin tone & (quoting from the product page) "stops flashing if the desired treatment area is deemed too dark for safe application" PLEASE DO *NOT* USE THIS ON DARK SKIN!!

I mean this whole video is sponsored and the youtuber is pretty bold in her claims. Saying things like "You can do this every day!". That's an unprofessional and dangerous statement. You need to leave a couple of weeks between each session. As for results, expect a hair REDUCTION over a course of 6 months (not 4 weeks). I have done professional laser and even that took me 10 months. The professional devices in hospitals are a thousand times stronger than at home devices. At home devices may never truly remove your hair, but simply reduce the growth over time. For true permanent hair removal I recommend you visit your doctor and ask about professional hair removal, either with IPL (will need yearly maintenance) or with electrolysis (permanent forever).

The Air 3 has worked great on the light brown hairs but not on any of the blonde hairs. While i do this in some areas still, I absolutely love IPL. I have been using it for a while now and where I have used it my results are excellent. It cuts shaving dramatically in the beginning and all together later where you use it. I cried inside when I heard you say it takes 10 minutes to shave your whole body. If I shave one small section with Gillette, the blades get full after one swipe, and then I have to wash it out which takes a while under very powerful water, and then I have to swipe on that same spot 3-6 more times with those washes in between before the hair is gone in that one small section. Therefore, it takes me an hour just to shave both legs. Even wax places take hours to wax both my legs. They overcharge me because of this.
@tedros69172 ай бұрын
For this I actually recommend getting an electric razor first, which will take the hair down but not fully, but you don't have to stop and wash out a razor so it's quick. Then you can follow up with the Gillette and you wouldn't need to rinse as often, and also the hairs are shorter so they come out easier

I've been trying to get rid of hair for almost 30 years now (I'm 43). I'm a very hairy woman, very fair skind and dark black hair (lots of them). I tried almost everything. Even waxing or sugaring doesn't work well. I seem to have too many active folicles, so if I'm in a rush I need to shave (twice a day). I also tried, I think it's called electrolysis, where a needle is put into the hair folicle root, electricity is being sent down to kill it off forever. It hurts like hell. Never really worked for me. The only thing that does work a little is IPL. Unfortunately, I stopped doing it ages ago, but I used it on my legs and have some empty patches there now. I really should grab my super old Braun device and get back to it. I think that device is too big to use on underarm or bikini area.

My birthday is tomorrow and I'm so excited to try it out! Your video couldn't have come at a better time ❤ As far as the reasons for wanting to be hairless, mine are very similar to yours! I have sensorial issues with texture and my legs and other areas feel more pleasant (to me) when they're hairless. But I would never keep up with waxing appointments. Shaving is easiest, but I get awful razor bumps! Not only do they look bad, the texture issues have me constantly trying to "pop" them though they're not zits. IPL seems like a worthy investment and I'm eager to get started. Would love more videos as I begin my IPL journey!

It's just that the peach fuzz I do have on my cheeks and near my ears, jawline occasionally shows up in selfies. It's transparent and not thick like I said, but if you zoom in you can see it. I always heard that if women shave their faces we'll get "five o clock shadows" etc... is that true and can I shave my peach fuzz off? If so, what's the best tool and way to go about it? Sorry I know this is sorta out in left field. I like your channel a lot. Great advice on here!
@autumnlyyy8 ай бұрын
I know I’m not the person you’re asking, but I shave my face and have been for about 3 years at least. You won’t grow a 5 o clock shadow nor will your hair grow back thicker or darker, people think that because when you shave you create a blunt edge to the hair. I just use my normal razor to shave my face but I’ve seen plenty of people using those smaller razors that I think people use for eyebrows sometimes. I would just advise making sure you’re using a clean razor, and use some kind of lubricant, whether that’s shaving cream, or normal face wash soap ( I usually just do it in the shower when I’m washing my face lol)

How many overall flashes does it provide? There are some that says unlimited but is it really unlimited?

Hi! I’ve been seeing the at home laser devices like the ones from current body. Do you think you could do a video on those vs using at home IPLs?

I go to European wax center for my bikini/brazilian and they use hard wax , it's way less painful than strip waxing but still painful. I do NOT recommend strip waxing for bikini. Like you said though, its too expensive so I'm very interested in your opinion on the best IPL for the bikini area

I have a ulike air 10 and evethough I am pretty much hairless on my face/body, I actually got this for the age/sun spot, hyperpigmentation on my face. I am now on my week 3 and I feel the dark spots has lightened a bit as my skintone seems more even, but I am definitely noticing much smoother skin & more refined pores after a couple of weeks. So even if the dark spots doesn't go away, I def see improvement on my face texture/skin/tone. I am hoping in the 2nd month, I will see more visible lightening in my hyperpigmentation. BTW, I am 56 and asian med-light skin tone, so dark spots are very pronounced.

Interesting. Do you use it as a spot treatment, or on your entire face? And how often do you treat your skin?

@@pinkpurpleblueish i use on my entire face and follow the same recommended direction for frequency from ulike.

I have Dark body hair and really pale skin. Home IPL so far either doesn't work (on my facial hair) or my body hair just grows back wiry and pale so I cannot use my device on it anymore. I am starting to think that my body/facial hair is outsmarting me.

Can you go in the sun after using IPL?

If you can find a TerraCycle drop off location for razor recycling, that is an option for disposables. You can also use a safety razor and just purchase the blades. Much more cost-effective and eco-friendly compared to disposable razors.

Cassandra can you please discuss about IPL and rosacea. I want to know more about it and if we can apply in the nose to reduce veins. My fear is having those flashes so close to my eyes, even using glasses.

By the way, thank you for all your videos!

Yes, please test lighter hair with very fair skin and let us know!! Some of my hair is super dark, but other hair is pretty fair and I don't know how well it'll work for that...
