Even before the recent buff this thing was underrated. Just scream around the battlefield at high speed driving circles around enemies while filling them full of holes at point blank. So much fun that I spaded mine years ago.

It seems that they recently nerfed the .50 Cal machine guns. The penetration increase still remains, but the post-pen damage was removed. It no longer creates fragmentation.

Recently play on A-36, top down on a T-34 with AP belt and his turret literally get rekt by .50 sharpnel. also i remember before the sharpnel thing on .50, they go in tank and does nothing more.

Damn they buff the ground 50 cals first. Air 50 cals are suppose to have more penetration because bullets carry over the airplane's velocity. If muzzle velocity is 1100m/s and the plane is moving at 100m/s, then the bullets go at 1200m/s.

We should get gaijin to give the Vickers light tank AAA proper ammo for its 4 15mm BESA machineguns, then we can truly have a weapon for the civilised. (iirc they had something like 28-33mm of pen depending on sources/targets hit)

I'm seeing these a LOT now in low tier since this buff. They were a rare sight before. And they've been absolutely cleaning up. You don't realize you're being hit by 50s until it's too late - they sound just like normal MGs. 31mm of pen is a bit too much for an MG, especially since the new calculator nerfed many bigger calibre tanks guns to around that level. I expect a nerf soon, either to 50s in general or this vehicle.
