That’s the animation for all Emblem and Engaged bow wielders. Fun fact: in Three Houses, Claude actually fires arrows upside down during a dodge counter when on the ground. It’s easy to see if he has Close Counter and, obviously, dodges.

my very first summon with Emblem Veronica was Edelgard before I pulled any 4 stars units, I really enjoyed 3 houses and I've bought an artwork of Edelgard and Black eagles from Drake Tsui Quirkilicious at the comic con at Ottawa, I was going to get golden deer and blue lion artwork as well but I couldn't afford all of these since I wanted Elden Ring artwork as well, I chose Black Eagles because it was the first route that I went through in both 3 houses and Warriors 3 hopes

Claude wasn't bad in 3 Houses though, he just didn't have a specific niche. 8 mov flier with bowfaire but no bow range. Lack of bow range hurt him a little. That being said he has 40% strength, 55% speed, 60% dex and 45% luck. Fastest lord with a very high crit chance and good power for an archer. His defenses are not very strong. He also comes with Pass, Wind God and Enclosure. Claude is basically Bernie with better everything. He has her signature pass, her deadeye and her enclosure but with better stats, a better personality and a flying class with no investment.

He's one of the best units in 3Hs tho. He hard carried my Verdant Wind maddening, made him a 10 movement wyvern master and boom he can snipe most annoying enemies without any consequences

@@Camnose the problem with using Claude as a enemy phaser is he doesn’t have the battlion vantage+wrath combo nor does he lack a crest so it’s rather inconvenient to use on him. If you don’t have both battalion enemy phase skills the next best bet is not having a crest and using a relic to naturally lower your hp range. Hubert for example makes great usage of this with thyrsus and uniquely is one of the few good enemy phase mages and a bow unit could also easily do the same if they didn’t have a crest hitting enemies for respectable damage outside their range until they get into range for the skills to proc then you can go ham with them. So you really wouldn’t want Claude to be your bow wrath vantage unit if you wanted one. You’d want leonine to fulfill that role either with Claude’s bow or a accessory that is a relic if we are sticking with pure golden deer units. Dimitri makes enemy phase work despite his actively detrimental crest due to not needing to lower his hp but Claude can’t say the same and having to use blessing is awkward when most mages desperately need gambits that boost their accuracy. You’d be going out of your way to recruit someone with wind magic just to have a solid blessing user ( or making ignaz a mage which is decently effective for his standards)

So instead of having three teens that are pals, you'd have three war-worn adults who are going insane and trying to murder each other. Great plan mate
