What I find funny but also shows how based Asmon is, when Asmon says he payed a lot of money when de facto he is a millionaire and the costs here are probably only peanuts and through stream donations and ad-revenue he probably has the costs in in a couple of minutes anyway. While the general concept of the game is interesting and adds new mechanics to the MMO genre, I think the free-2-p(l)ay setting will attract many bots, as in any other MMO, that will ruin the basic economy sooner than later. Also the control of certain content areas like raid bosses through time-gated limited resources like castles and what not adds to players spending more money on the game to acquire better gear early on and to make grinding for the BIS more easily. As such, to experience the real endgame you probably have to open your wallet anyway, which adds pay-2-win to some degree. Just look what players already did in WoW for world or server firsts. I guess this mutliplies by a big number in this game. And in regards to that picture to character face model feature: I wish Asmon looked like his created avatar :D Maybe it has some beautifyer filter on it to not have to confront gamers with their harsh reality :D

@@JordanSTX254 UO is a one of a kind game and was my first MMO. it was not a Level based game, it was a attribute based game. Something games don't do anymore and hasn't done since UO. and WoW, proved that you can gain a casual gamer market in MMOs by getting rid of lost of XP as a death penalty, double XP and other things. DAoC based their game off of EverQuest, this prior to WoW. Most modern day games use more of the WoW business model then anything, including Throne and Liberty. So I doubt a game like DAoC could come back unless a younger generation revisit it because they missed out on it or want to experience that type of hardcore game play I've been playing MMOs since I was 14 years old and I just turned 40 last month so my taste in MMos are not the same as they were as a kid. I am a lot more pickier cause ive played ALOT of MMOs during my life. I would still play throne and liberty cause it seems to have a good story and its free after all.

Problem for me with all these mmo games is that they all look so generic. The only reason something like ESO isnt dead, is because the elder scrolls fanbase was already huge and dedicated. If it didnt have the lore and worldbuilding history people would not have stuck on for it.

Elder scrolls is good but it’s not the game it used to be. It’s become a much easier game ever since update 35 and arcanist. Once you do a few trifectas you pretty much have the game done and it doesn’t reward exploration as much as it forces you to find like skyshards and skill points. It’s a good game for sweaty players but casuals will constantly either feel excluded or like they are not even playing the same game. It also has some of the worst pvp in all mmo’s. Top players usually rig all pvp from cyrodil to battlegrounds making it a guaranteed win for their side. There’s alot eso did right but the stuff it did wrong just rubs me the wrong way. Got my godslayer title then quit

What I dislike is every MMO right now has 1 thing that's good, and 1 thing that's really bad about it. FFXIV99XXXIVA9 is full of weebs, and the skills are just...odd, but it's colorful and interesting. ESO has great quests and world, but the combat is just awful. WoW is WoW, but everyone has already done everything and you're 20 years too late to start. OSRS which I've been playing just takes forever, and obviously it's an old MMO. GW2 was fun but the skilling system to unlock elites is incredibly monotonous. The end-game is kind of not there it seems.

Its def pay to progress in some ways but even upgrading gear is capped by one item you arent able to purchase and have to grind for like everyone else. The only thing p2w players have is the ability to buy their purples sooner than f2p yet f2p can still sell things on the market to aquire enough lucent to buy purples they want (its day 3 of Early access and ive already sold enough on market to buy my purple weapons)

There is an active Dark Age of Camelot Freeshard called 'Eden'. It's season based, and their seasons last about a year. On a new season release they usually get a couple thousand players per realm. I personally don't agree with a lot of the mechanic and class changes they've made, but for the average player, especially if you enjoy zerging you'd probably satisfy your yearning.

This game might get me to look into the MMO genre once more. The last MMO i played was the Archeage Closed Beta BACK IN 2014! That beta was one of atthe best MMO experiences I ever had. No it was the best experience. Unfortunately, it went down the path we see all the time. Greed, lack of support, and clueless devs. The beta had everything. An in depth character creation, a multiclass feature (you choose 3 classes to create a new class all together, granting 100+ unique classes), PVP, dungeons, the works. But it had this beautiful feel that brought so many people together. Then the release came around and it completely ruined the experience for so many people, myself included. Archeage today is a former shell of what it once was. It, itself, was a korean made game. This game kind of reminds me of the OG Archeage that I fell in love with and yearn to return to even to this day. Maybe without the quirkiness that Archeage had.

The western version is different because we are on a different built that is going to also affect the korean one on launch. The game is constantly being reworked right now due to feedback from the players. From how I understand it, the combat is still being refined because the korean market isn't even happy with it either. The game was og a mobile game and has since had a FFXIV turn around to being shut down and then redone from the ground up to be a actual MMORPG and it's still cooking. Right now it's just about refining what they have to make it better. They are trying to do, what Bless should have done before they ruined any and all good will.

The reason i quit is because of one, you need to literally live in the game 24/7 to keep up, that's not even a joke or an exaggeration really. It was worst than any FOMO games ever released probably. 2nd,: At some point to stay relevant in top guilds they were literally asking for people to be able to put between 500 to 1k a month minimum to keep up with all the p2w gotcha gambling stuff that they constantly were dishing out. Immense amount of gambling stuff in the mix. That was 15 years ago to put it in perspective. NC and lineage were the first real bad offenders of this kind of practices. Even original lineage 1 got completely stupid just before L2 came out. Their female characters were always oversexualized with an insane amount of paid customizations so that's not really a change. Then after that, all of their other games were full of this as well. Not one game that they made was not like this so why expect different this time. The dynamics are already clearly made to work around this kind of things, specially in the min/max late game stage when pvp and global objectives becomes important.

As a non-MMO player interested in MMOs, I don't see much appeal in this. Extremely simple and clunky gameplay logic. Badly written and acted story quests that are obviously just cheap filler and not emotionally engaging in any way. Generic world. Pay to win progression(?) and cosmetics(?) with little freedom of expression or sense of achievement. I guess the only thing left is vibing in the cities with the feeling of player presence, but Naraka Bladepoint's lobby does this without being an MMORPG, and I feel like a game should have actual appeal beyond that. This game looks like it's just going through the motions trying to capture some past experience I don't know about but having zero appeal on its own.

The anime voices and the little floating doll and everything feel really out of place compared to the setting of the main game, like it was written and all done and dusted by one team then some other team came in decided uWu'ing it up would attract the target audience more.

Guild Wars had many very unique things with regards to gameplay that this doesn't seem to have. Auto-attack, auto-chase, relatively slow-based combat (for a real time combat game), limited skill set, low level and item power cap that was very easy to quickly max (like less than a day), heavy/required team-based focus for gameplay. However even more importantly: Guild Wars wasn't an MMO, and this game has problematic major Pay to Win aspects (power increases with spending money with little-to-no upper limit on possible spending) So I think you're wrong in every single way that matters. What even _is_ similar to Guild Wars? Maybe you meant Guild Wars 2, but the only thing that changes there is that that is an MMO.

@@Stukels Don't be so mentally feeble and offended for nothing, he doesn't like transmutation into the mount. It's a very.....odd choice. It more of that clashing art style. What it does is makes the game feel boring and generic, too much of "let's just put everything in and hope it works". It's an Eastern MMO thing, something i'll never find appealing. It's there ONLY to be a vessel to sell you cosmetics and P2W gear. It's nothing like crafting your own mount in Fallen Earth Classic, of all games to compare it to. Pretty bad when a true 100% free old MMO does it better.

This looks like generic Korean MMO 37. Its models look an awful lot like 3rd person Lost Ark. Well really every Korean MMO game uses similar looking models. Please enjoy another 2 hours of character customization (while you do it, hours pass, and you can't refund the game anymore-sadP). Or is this game free? Oh, another preset of plastic enemies for 50 bucks and beloved damage numbers (as if players are blind vegetables and can't see the health bar). And of course, the legendary upgrade system (we'll make everything as random as possible just to waste your time).
