@@Whillyy the resistance pot doesnt absorb any damage. He is using the lvl 28 frost resistance potion, and probably has used it many times to roll max amount absorption (2250) to prepare. This potion is also commonly used in naxx during trash and progress runs, also when you got the content on farm to save money. Imagine trying to lecture people about pots not knowing shit. A friend and I were doing 2v2 arena in Cata, I was a rogue and had the legendary daggers. I was a reasonably good player and raided with a hardcore guild. Anyway, we enter this arena and soon realise there is a druid, no partner, just sat there like he was AFK. I immediately though this will be a quick win and move on. This druid bear owned us, stunlocked me, killed my buddy in seconds and just went to town on me after. Never, underestimated another player ever again. Sub rogue with those daggers in PVP were pretty OP back then, but get cocky and OP means nothing.

Ziqo had no way of seeing those insane buff before the duel started, Paladin is probably the first person to ever do that countless hours getting the mats to make the potions get the buffs set up a situation where it was impossible to lose all on a mid level char.... that he ended up losing anyway is perhaps the greatest fail in pvp WoW history. All that prep work weeks worth and to just get outplayed out thought out IQed, I have not played wow in near 16 years the level of pathetic the paladin displayed cannot be described.

This may be a hot take, but all I see is a man who really lives the sentence: "If you take a shot at the king, don't miss." He knew his target was a Rank 1 Glad who loves killing people in Mak'gora... so he decided he's going to make him regret his life choices... and so he spent more time prepping for this than Batman would to fight Superman. He then got help to scout and bait a perfect trap and Ziqo fell into it hook, line and sinker. Insane props to Ziqo, of course, as he proved to everyone why he's #1 because he found a way to win in a borderline unwinnable situation. All in all, amazing PvP event happened - one for the ages - and it took both sides to make it happen EDIT: Just saw to the end where the dude asked his guild to mass report Ziqo. N/M, he's a little whiny bitch boy - can respect the way this all went down, but should have taken his L like a man.

Also, Blizzard answered Firestar's ticket, and confirmed it indeed is a bug, and that they planned to fix it as they overseen magic dust CC for the rule of not being able to get CC'd out of a Makgora like he was. People misinterpretation because of Asmongold's retardation in this case is probably why they didn't remove the buff, even though Blizzard pretended they couldn't remove it. But the debuff is almost over, and the guild is going stronger than ever. Personal opinion, Zyqo is the one who should have taken the L like a man as you say. Dude admitted himself he couldn't win, so in a duel to the death, he either deserved death or coward debuff, especially as a mage playing against as paladin, and challenging Makgora unprepared.

@@anthonychristy9239polymorph also heals you to full, so it's not neccessarily quite the "gotcha" in duels in all situations.. but yes mages were relatively powerful in vanilla if you knew what you were doing... I think the main thing that helped ziqa here is that the streamsniping french loser is bad at the game.. and relying on so much ultimate cheese that he doesn't feel the need to optimise his gameplay or ability use... if he had used his abilities a bit better, ziqa may have failed in kiting him around for long enough to find a solution. Ziqa could've also gotten much more unlucky with resists, given the cheese potions... so there was some luck involved rather than simply the mage class' "strength"

Dude tries to makgora people without gear, level up while in a duel to the death because he was about to lose, he exploits every single bug mechanic he can. Yet when others play the game normally, it's unfair because Zyqo was too dumb to challenge to a Makgora someone who was prepared for it. Also he didn't stalk, Zyqo asked for challengers so he used his stream to get to him, and Zyqo asked for it. If Blizzard didn't fuck up, Zyqo would have had the debuff or died, which he was lucky not to seeing how low his health was at times regardless. And a viewer gave him the magic dust outside of duel idea, and he was so proud of himself for that. I don't get how anyone but dishonorable scums can see zyqo as a winner here, in a duel to the death where the dude just escaped death, he did not win.

Not really. The Frenchman's problem was that he wasted his bubble and trinket on nothing. Aggressive for no reason. He made it personal. Evident by him stream-sniping and preparing all those buffs in the first place. If there was no Mok' Gora and this was regular STV, the pally would have CRAPPED on Ziqo.
