Just another thing to add when you revisit Malaysia because it’s always nice to have more things to do right? 😊

Frog in the well, char keow teow was originated from China brought to Malaya by Chinese ancestors

@NK_Khoo-Malaysian we can find flat noodles in China of course, but this is a variation. Like singapore hainanese chicken rice.

@@keangwooichoo6138 char koey teow long available in China, you add chili and cockles did not mean you invent the char koey teow. Hainan has文昌鸡飯 long before Malaya was existed, hainanese ancestors brought the recipe to Melaka (Singapore still non-exist in 15th century)with some twists to its ingredients. Hainan chicken rice first appeared in Melaka, Singapore got very thick skin to steal everything from Malaysia.

Chicken butt = bishop's nose
@nicoleandmico Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for explaining this to us! I just googled it to get a photo and really understand what you were referring to. I've actually never heard the term Bishop's nose either, but I get it now! Thank you for educating us, we love learning more about food from around the world. The next time we see Bishop's nose on the menu we will definitely be giving it a try!
