So, is The Ringed City worth it? Dark Souls Remastered - status update & more

Guess DLC is DLC, price is not about quality, so people shouldn't scrutinize here too much. If you ask me, yes, I would always recommend the ringed city DLC. This DLC is better than anything else in this game (well, maybe not as good as irithyll dungeon , but other than that... :-P)

Get it, stream it, and if possible upload the stream to KZbin (it's very unlikely I would be able to watch it live). Try to play it as blind as possible (though probably saw a lot of it by now). I think you will enjoy it. And I will certainly enjoy watching you play it!

The second dlc isn't bad, it actually feels like people put a lot of heart and soul into making it fun and interesting, and it shows. I'd say that it did the dark souls formula better than the base game, which includes the things I like and the things I dislike in the series. It's worth playing.

In what universe is DaS 3 and 2x DLC not a good gaming investment? Even at full price, there's potentially hundreds of hours of entertainment there and even the worst Souls game is still going to be better than 90% of the competition. 90%, google it.

TRC is alot better than the first dlc. It has a few issues but overall I thought it was a solid dlc. One of those issues being the enemy placements are lazy asf. I'd say the highlight of TRC are it's bossfights, 3 of them anyway.

It's a auto unban if you delete your save and play a few times a week you'll be unbanned on Tuesday. you either didn't delete your save and make a new character or didn't play enough in a week for them to update the save and flag you for unban.

Didn't bans clear after 2 weeks? I remember getting banned for duping character saves, changing their looks and class. Ban lasted 2 weeks. Also buy an ups. :)

what happens is that they check the characters individually, literally a staff member of FromSoft checks accounts 1 by 1 the sad fucker wage slave. They see if something is fucked up with your characters, if you have for example 99 on every stat but you're level 120 they ban you. But if you remove that character from your account then wait for them to do another update where they re-check accounts + characters they allow you to play online again. Its a dumb system totally expected from a dumb developer.

Firstly, what the hell happened to your voice? Your voice turned to a dying old man to a happy mask salesman for some reason. Secondly, yeah. Go buy the ringed city DLC, its so much better than the first one. Lots of cool weapons (1 edgy edge samurai sword, mega evolution- broken sword, discount gwyn combo sword), 2 kind of overpowered weapon which is amazingly fun, a boss fight where you are the boss, and a fitting final boss. Cons: Secret Boss is hard for a wrong reason. You'll get it when you fight it in the super-secret cave in a super-secret room under a super-secret staircase before a super-secret wall over the super-secret door, from a seemingly innocent elevator.

the second dlc is way better than the first one, longer, with harder and funnier boss fights. There is also much lore explained, so if you were interested in these you'd better pay those 15 bucks

the ringed city has some very good bosses, weapons and the enemies in general are good too, but some parts are meh. I didnt like the giant swamp area without the poison, because it was just a flat area with some enemies and even a base game boss (dragonslayer armor) just put there. also, the spears of the church bossfight is lame, as jt in a pvp fight where you can heal and bring friends whereas the Invader cannot. But I really liked the way, they handled midir, with some meetings before you actually get to the optional bossfight. Overall i think its a good dlc and worth getting even though i mentioned mostly negative stuff in this comment, becaue i dont want to spoil the good content. (if there are spelling or grammatical errors in this text it is due to the fact that I'm from germany)

The Ringed City DLC was better than Ashes of Ariandel, but it really comes down to whether or not you want more Dark Souls 3. It has some of the best boss fights (the best dragon fight in the series, IMO), and also some of the worst boss fights (terribly designed input-reading, animation-cancelling NPCs). It also has the modern dark souls syndrome of throwing tons and tons of enemies at you, and some of the level design is uninspired. Still, it was fun to play through and it's worth getting if you liked the base game.

I feel the need to point out that the dlc2 dragon is not the best in the series. I legitimately feel that getting Kalameet's tail was more fun and challenging than the dealing with the abyssal dragon's (blanking on name for some reason) big health bar by abusing his obvious weak point. The story sequence for downing Kalameet also has one of the most memorable moments in the series compared to having a joke prelim battle where the abyssal dragon chills on a bridge and lets you beat it up. DLC2 is definitely fun and a step up, but it still has so much that just pulls from other things in the series (and demon's for that matter too) that it just feels like one last ditch effort to cram all the good stuff from old games into this new one. Sincerely hope you enjoy it overall though.

I think Midir was a way fairer fight than Kalameet, but it's still tough until you figure out his pattern. That said, the dragon fights aren't really my favorite because it's a highly mobile enemy that you have to be chasing all over the arena, and you have only a few opportunities to deal damage. A lot of times Kalameet will just do whatever he feels like doing, which forces you to wait for a perfect opportunity to hit him and also avoid damage.

Personally I think that dark souls 1.1... I mean, dark souls 3 is kinda garbage, it lack on ispiration, there are way too many citations, and blah blah blah, things that at this point don't matter anymore, BUT, the ringed city dlc is definitively worth to be taken in consideration, especially if the mistake of buy the base game is already done. This second dlc, which completely overshadow the first one "citations of ariamis... with bloodborne boss at the end", is at the level of artorias of the abyss and the ivory king DLCs, something must if you have the base game, there is no crappy bosses like friede, a lot of usefull stuff for pvp, included some of the best rings and weapons, and some epic bossfight and also a new and interesting covenant.... so in short, since you have already citations souls 1.1, yes, get the dlc, it is the best part of the game.

Not really. Bosses except last one are bad. New weps are egdy anime shiet that are just OP compare to any other in their class. Clerics got something sweet tho. Story is shit. Ending is most anticlimatic shit u could imagine for the series.

imo basically same shit, as it story-wise continued DLC, so it have kind of almost zero connection to the main game except few fanservice shiets. bosses are a little better then AoA, zones looks much uglier and no really new interesting mobs like wolves were(THEY ARE CUTE) on your place i would get it to test new weps and spells(faith builds at last got some love with this dark halberd, which i think is a fun weapon or dexfag DMC katana), kill ancient dragon 2.0 and just be done with DkS3.
