Tengen currently knows what Zenitsu is capable of with Thunder breathing as Sound breathing is derived from it. When Tengen is listening to an underground fight in episode 12 he is basically listening to the First form Sixfold of Zenitsu's Thunder breathing.

The eye on Daki does allow Gyutaro to see her actions, it connects both of them and gives Daki a power-boost, and allows them to coordinate their attacks perfectly as-well as allows telepathic communication - that's why they were able to speak through each other. And when Gyutaro was fighting Tengen, Daki's sash was cutting down from below aiming for Tengen and not her brother, they can see moves, coordinate attacks and react faster hence why Gyutaro wasn't hit by her sash - this is also why the blood slashes for Gyutaro were tracking both Inosuke and Zenitsu without hitting Daki even though it should be impossible for Gyutaro to normally monitor the battle while fighting, he's implanted a small percent of himself to aid her (His eye)

In the manga, according to Tengen Uzui, Tokito Muichiro is one of two people who became a Hashira only two months after picking up a sword ( he is the mist hashira), the other being Gyomei Himejima ( the stone hashira ). I am glad the anime version show this when Tengen explain himself to Gyutaro and Daki.
