Enjoy the episode guys! This is the end of Subnautica for now, but we'll be back on 4546B with Below Zero in the future! In the meantime, I do hope you'll stick around on the channel and enjoy some of my other playthroughs as well! Thank you for joining your Captain on this journey!

At 1:32:06, The best part about the time capsule is this. The company that made this game, "Unknown Worlds" their website saves the data from every capsule on their site. Every time someone starts a new game, it downloads one of them some where onto that player's new world. Maybe no one will ever get yours. But maybe someone will. And they'll see the message you wrote, and they will know. It's just a little thing, but you've made the journey Lukael. Somewhere, sometime, someone will get your message. And they'll know. They'll know you were here. That you made the journey. That your story mattered. Because if you could do it, then so can they. 😭😭😌😀🥰🥰🥲😁😁😁 GODSPEED LUKAEL. FOR EVERY DESTINATION IS BUT THE DOORWAY TO ANOTHER ADVENTURE. THANKS FOR PLAYING AND CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!

@@apelcius Why? They were no game-breaking bugs. The worst bug did not occur: The prawn getting stuck in the ground. He only got the good bugs. And if I see bugs like these, that are only some funny occasions, it's kinda a rare view. I wouldn't look so negatively at that, and my comment was in no way meant that negative as you portrait it.

Even more fun fact, you don't need to save and load. You can follow them from the gate to where they eventually reside and they will grow the entire time. The children actually legitimately travel through the ocean and steadily grow rather than just teleporting.

I really enjoyed the playthrough. Lukael is a funny guy, the more freely he talks, the funnier and the better. It has been challenging, trying to not judge the blind playthrough. I mean, my first playthrough was a disaster, I had to ask for help to get to the primary containment facility. It's easy to get frustrated for him not finding this or that but, he is actually crazy good if you think about it.

I love that you stayed with the Emperor for so long! She was so kind, and tolerated so much, and only wanted her children to be free. I didn't know when I gathered the plant samples for the enzymes that you could still use them if they fully decomposed. So I wound up building a grow-bed at my shallows base so I could gather seeds of each, and then harvest fresh samples all at the same time. By the time I finished that, it occurred to me that since I had to go far and around to gather the plants... the young emperors wouldn't have a viable breeding ground anywhere, and they'd have to make their own if they could or would go extinct. The same thoughts had been hitting me that you voiced of "I'm leaving all these vehicles and bases and junk everywhere..." So I built them something positive to remember me by, too. I made a ton of outdoor grow-beds around the safe shallows, and worked on propagating all the plants for the enzyme across them as I was gathering materials for my escape ship. By the time I was ready to leave, I left them a garden to eventually lay their eggs in, and seed other breeding grounds with. I still like to imagine and hope they found it.

Regarding the sea crown, it's actually just in the tank to prevent you from not being able to complete the game. It's meant to be rare and can actually be found in most biomes (including the jelly caves) by searching hard. The point is that the aliens never knew. The Khraa wiped out the live forms that used to spread it's seeds.

I think the bugs are really bad this time around bc he recorded for like 6 hours unlike the other parts. From my experience the game would mostly start becoming a glitchy mess (more than usual) whenever my graphic settings were too high or my pc became too hot or something like that. He also mentioned earlier it gets pretty hot in his room so that probably doesn't help. A save and reload probably would have fixed it yea.... Anyway i loved this playthrough, one of the best i've seen. Lukael was very thoughtful reading every little thing, making theories, engaging with comments and overall just funny editing :D
@Gazer75

@@iceboundwolf7431 Not sure what defines hot, but I have up around 28-30C in my apartment in summer if its warm enough outside. Never had any issues with temps, and modern PCs would not have any issue as they would just reduce clock speed on GPU and CPU if overheating. I've also played for over 6 hours many times without issues. My most common bug is falling out of the cyclops due to some weird physics. Standing still in it the cyclops sometimes slowly moves it a tiny bit which eventually cause you to fall through. The game then thinks the world is void of water so you're either dead from falling or can't get anywhere. The O2 and food/drink bug must have been introduced in the last patch where they added some BZ features like the big room. I had never seen it before. I like how he seem to instantly understand the purpose of the four gates. I've seen many that had no clue.

@@Gazer75 Could just be your pc is just better than mine (or you clean it more often) :/ not sure about the o2 food drink issue might just be what you are saying. I just know in general the game seems to be more unstable/glitchy if my pc is overheating. So that was just my theory as to why creatures were clipping through walls so much, or how the sea emperor dialouge was weirdly delayed at the end etc. idk to me it just kinda made sense. I had alot of issues with using the prawn suits in the tempels and just clipping issues in general . One time a reaper dragged me under the island temple out of nowhere i almost peed my pants (and i also lost my prawnsuit :( ) or jumping underwater but landing on the edge of something and walking around underwater like i was still on land... but i reported them and to subnauticas credit they fixed it so fast. It was really cool how they just even after years of it being complete they read and fix stuff in their game, it shows they care. And agreed Lukael figured things out so quick :D alot of the time watching other playthroughs it can seem like they are just hitting their heads against the wall untill they get it due subnautica being such an open game. But since he read all the data entries he had a much easier time figuring out where to go or what to do just by learning how the game/world works :)

That's one naughty larvae 😂 Regarding the storage aboard the Neptune; regular mortals not blessed by the bug might wish to bring food and water for the journey. I ended up never finishing the game. I couldn't bring myself to leave the Sea Emperor, despite leaving Cuddlefish with them for company. They had been alone for so, so long, my heart couldn't bear for them to die alone. And if I disabled the defense system and returned to Alterra, wouldn't they just send people to strip the planet of precious metals, or to colonise it? I just helped the Sea Emperors back from the brink of extinction, it didn't seem right to potentially doom them immediately after. Besides, I had everything I needed at this point, more or less. I was farming plenty of food indoors and outdoors, I had containments with breeding fish, I had water filtration and multiple sources of renewable energy. I had minerals enough to replace anything broken for far beyond a lifetime. I had multiple homes with comfortable living spaces in various beautiful places. I had the Cuddlefish and the Sea Emperors for companionship. What awaited at home? As far as I knew, a debt to be paid Alterra, as the PDA had warned me. Somewhere along the way, the planet I sought to escape became my home. Thank you for allowing us to join you on this wonderful journey, it's been amazing ❤

Congrats on completing the game! It's far from perfect, but that's true for every great classic. A successful game experience has a lasting effect on us, and that's certainly true for Subnautica. In particular, overcoming the deep water fears and really being able to dig into a fully fleshed ecosystem are both things that we just don't see in other games. Hopefully other devs will take the cue and build out more genres around those ideas.

This was a great playthrough! The game definitely has some unpolished gameplay and plenty of bugs, but the sense of progression and exploration it gives makes it a really fun adventure. One thing I think the game was missing is some kind of long distance expedition at the end. Maybe instead of gathering different plants for the hatching enzyme, you had to go get something from a place they normally lay their eggs or something. After getting my cyclops down to my base by the glowing tree I built a bunch of stuff in it, loaded up a ton of materials, put up decorations and everything, then I drove it a few minutes to the containment facility and ended the game. I loved using the cyclops and the idea of having a mobile base capable of a longer adventure away from my home base, but the game ends before I had a chance to really use it at all.

Thanks Lukael for the great playthrough. One other thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is you got to do your playthrough on the 2.0 version, that most of us had completed the game way before they even released it. This will help you when you play Below Zero, I think, because they brought the game controls in line with each other. You really did hit a lot of bugs the last episode, but I agree, you were pretty much there already and it wasn't impactful to the end of the game. I think if you had reloaded the game, you would have been able to continue as normal, but 5 hours in, I'm not surprised that you just wanted to finish. You could have used your prawn with thermal reactor as a power cell charger for your cyclops. Also, try driving the cyclops using the cameras. I find it to be a much more enjoyable experience.

Thank you Lukael for this playthrough, cause for me this playthrough gets closer to my very first playthrough, almost as if like I am watching me again play this game again, from scratching my head to how to make a reed fiber to making base at the cove tree, to exact same place. from abusing Sonar to finding PCF first before Thermal plant, finding a alien base only to realise that i forget to bring a tablet like always, and it even ended same like leaving my cyclops down in depth with my Nepture rocket almost ready. Most players didn't even start making the Neprune rocket untill they turn off the QEP. So yeah again, yours is the most same as mine, or maybe harder because when I played this game there was no pinned recipe option, i used to write or memorize most of the recipes for many things.

That was quite fun watching your episodes and playing approximately at the same pace and doing the same objectives. Quite fun, thank you! Yes, that "infinite oxygen" bug is quite annoying. Reloading the game fixes it but still. I don't know for sure but my guess is that it's supposed to be like you thought, inside the Containment Facility you are oxygenated and the bug is then that leaving that containment pool does not clear the effect... I was a bit surprised that you never tried using outdoor grow plots to farm the aquatic plants. Would have solved your problem of getting creep vine in your Glowing Tree biome. Or getting deep shrooms in your surface base. But, as your proved, you managed quite well without. Thank you for the episodes! I hope you try Below Zero at some point.

I think the storage is more for RP reasons -- I usually bring my cuddlefish (because I'm weak), some food/water, and a bunch of expensive crap to try and placate Alterra lol. Looking forward to more! :D Really enjoyed your playthrough!

Finally finished the playthrough! It was great, really enjoyed it. I love the fact that you got to find out everything yourself. I love watching people play, but most of the times they are streamers, and what happens is that chat is constantly back seating. The minute the streamer misses a PDA, chat would start screaming at the streamer. The minute they missed a material, or forgot something, chat would start yelling. Or chat would always tell the steamer where everything is, so there would be no sense of actually finding something yourself. Or they would spoil everything Because u have all edited vods, I got to watch someone play without any live backseating, and it was a ton of fun! Gonna check out your channel to see if there are any other games I’ve played before. Love your play style! You mentioned control which I have played before, so if that ever comes I’ll be excited for that. If I were to recommend a game I would recommend hollow knight. That games has a ton of hidden lore and I would love to watch you decipher it. And hollow knight is a really popular game for people to watch, so I would expect a lot of views on it, just like how people enjoy watching subnautica For example, Jedi survivor is a great games, but it’s not really a game that people watch others play.

Glad you enjoyed the playthrough! I can't imagine streaming a game while having chat backseating me every step of the way lol would drive me insane, the backseating was bad enough just in the comments..... I played Hollow Knight before creating the channel, sadly! but Control is one that's still on my to-do list!

I love Subnautica to death but yeah, it's buggy as heck in endgame. Although, if you have to get bugged, infinite air could be worse. You are one of the few streamers I've watched who figured out the four gates = four ingredients concept. You can find the sea crown in a handful of places near the surface, but they're hiding. They're so pretty though. There's a distressing number of reapers on the map, but they're out around the edges and you can absolutely avoid them unless you're an exploration completionist. They're only my third-place choice for worst critter on 4546B. (The bleeders are number one worst just for being annoying. Bone sharks are two for being overly aggressive.) I think the Emperor lived so long just out of sheer stubbornness :) She wasn't dying until her kids had a chance to live. I think she mentioned that the previous aliens couldn't hear her talking, and the Degasi crew just didn't find the right path. Spite is a wonderful motivator. I wish aspirin worked as quickly as Enzyme 42 does. Several hundred hours of gameplay and I've never hit the infinite air/food/water bug. I'm still fond of calling the seamoth 'Appetizer' and then tempting fate around leviathans. I usually name mine 'Nothing' because then in the moonpool it says 'Nothing is docked' and I think I'm funny. I appreciate the little on-screen commentary text :D The best way to find silver is to desperately need gold. See also: the best way to find copper :) I mean, arguably you could have made a whole new cyclops instead of going back down. Not sure that would be faster, but technically it was an option. Also, trust me, you're not the first one to have to make that trip repeatedly. I used to guess how far people had played in the game by asking them what they thought was the scariest creature so far. Playing with the cuddlefish is such fun. I definitely didn't see one get chomped by a bone shark once. Love that there does not seem to be anything resembling a seat belt in the cockpit. Alterra might want to look into their panel attachment protocols, that's twice one tried to murder us. Philosophy 101, with Professor Sea Emperor. The music in this game is just so good. That last bit about our outstanding bill is amusing. I've never tried it, but I always wanted to fill the ship with like, diamond and ion cubes and see if that does anything. If you ever decide to play through again, I recommend being on the island surface when the Sunbeam arrives, and then go ahead and try to launch without deactivating the gun. What's the worst that could happen? :D Also talk to the cuddlefish after you finish the rocket. Worth it. This has been such a fun trip, so glad I found your channel.

I have never in my entire life wanted a game to bug out and add a requirement for the rocket which somehow needed the cyclops, after you built the Cockpit. Pulling all the power cells out of the cyclops was a brand new way (from all the playthroughs I've seen) to unintentionally (almost) cause yourself lots of problems. Each playthrough of this game is it's own long-form movie and is fun to watch. I greatly enjoyed yours. Fake ratings: Efficiency - 2/10 Success at Predicting Storylines / Plot Elements - 9.5/10 Ability to Spot all PDAs on the Screen - 0.5/10 Complaints - 15/10 (not an actual thing I care about, only putting it in here for the memes) Names of Vehicles - 7/10 Time Capusle Contents - 8/10 Dry Humor which (always kept it interesting) - 10/10 Cuddlefish Usages - 0.5/10 (YOU KEPT THEM IN A LOCKER, YOU MONSTER) Credits Dance Sequence - 12/10 Amazing watch, will be checking out some of your other playthroughs. Cheers.

Don't worry about the infinite oxygen, food and hunger bug. It's not the first time I've seen it, and by that point you've basically finished the game anyway - you're already self-sufficient as far as food and water are concerned, you have effectively infinite oxygen just by parking a vehicle nearby, and even without that you have almost 4 minutes of oxygen (I seem to remember in one of your videos you said that you went from the tree in the depths back out to the surface with just your seaglide). A little extra convenience that you weren't supposed to have as you're going around collecting the enzyme ingredients is hardly going to ruin the experience! On the note of bugs, yeah the game is a bit buggy in places. Ironically I think they accidentally introduced more of them when they tried to update the original Subnautica's engine with improvements they made in Below Zero.
@MasterNinjaTeddyBear
@MasterNinjaTeddyBear 2 ай бұрын
infinite oxygen is a common bug for the alien containment unit for the sea emperor. Would it be ok to empower you with some in game knowledge of the game now that you're done? If so, there's a final animation after you've completed the ship for the cuddlefish. Go check it out and ready the f11. The tiny hologram of the cyclops on the hud is a display of sound. There's a shade of blue that's in the shape of an orb that expands with the more noise you make. You don't need to cook fish right away, you can store them and cook them when needed and they don't rot until you've killed them. There's other lore stuff also out of the way of the main story but requires exploration.

I personally was very proud of you when you immediately solved the "riddle" of those four gates when you were given the recipe for hatching enzyme. Most other playthroughs that I've watched people had to scour the map for the ingredients completely ignoring the readily available shortcuts. And to give you a little bit of a preview of a sequel I'll just say that of all the bioms of two games my number one favourite one is in the Below Zero. I'll tell you which one when you get to it though. (:

I could never imagined not enjoying the cyclops , its so big and awkward and bad , how could you not enjoy driving the only thing in the game with any challenge , but i get it, and it made for a funny ending run. for me it was pretty much the mobile base for mid to end game, i had everything in there. using thermal power so charging was never an issue

Not everything is random, but where your pod lands, the order of some of the radio messages, and some fragments are. Some of that can affect the difficulty slightly, because something important can be in a biome that is more dangerous or that you can't get to. I would say your randomness was mid difficulty. Growing things in the outside beds would have made your life a lot easier, like the deep shrooms, gel sacks, and even the creepvine when you went deep. It's one thing you have to bring... You probably hit 60% of the major wrecks, and you did hit almost all the biomes at least once. The dunes you did not, and that is where you get the still suit that makes water from bodily fluids. The dunes is full of reapers though. One last thing, you can kill everything in this game with enough effort. I know you were saying you wished you could, well if you stun it, and knife it, you can. Also perimeter defense also helps kill.

Finally finished watching the finale and here's my final thoughts. First off, thank you for the journey dear Captain. Retire your Captain hat...for now...dont let it collect too much dust, I'll definitely be back for dredge and below zero. Congrats on finishing the game! Dont worry too much about the could have dones, you finished the game your way, thats the priority here. As soon as I realized you were leaving the cyclops down below before the neptune was complete, i was 😬. Anyone who's played blind has been there lol. And even more so when you were determined to just make a new module...without the cyclops lol. Classic. Sorry for all the bugs you experienced in the end. As much as i love subnautica, it happens. It used to be worse, the prawn suit used to get stuck out of water; like dead weight on land, couldn’t move or boost. Your only hope was to grapple and drag the prawn along the ground back to water. Frozen stats still happens to me, if you notice it again, save quit and restart, that usually does it. Next, ive said it before, but i want to add it again here at the end: i would love to see a "loose ends" episode happen if you were up for it. Now that you've beaten the game, set up challenges to complete using this same game file. Things id recommend: say goodbye to the cuddlefish (cute interaction you missed once the neptune rocket is complete)(speaking of neptune, that can be customized like all the other vehicles back at the build console, just wanted to mention it bc i dont think you saw before launch), find ALL cuddlefish (5 total in game), find hidden caches (i believe 3 purple tablet ones left you didnt find), find all wrecks to get all upgrades/tech; etc. I'd love the bonus journey with you as you try some of these. Nice added challenge now that you're finished. If you were curious, the baby sea emperors are still in the game. Youll find them as adults in various biomes. No interaction happens but its neat to see them free. Lastly, subnautica brought me to your channel (along with many many others apparently lol). I've enjoyed the ride. I've started watching some of your other things and enjoying the content so far, i'm really enjoying your Detroit experience at the moment. Keep up the good work, Lukael! I look forward to more adventures you'll take us all on, whether its back to 4546b or beyond. "Farewell, friend."

Ahaha I was just thinking how I'm gonna have to use the captain hat again soon for Dredge! I can't believe how many times in this playthrough I spent time collecting resources to build something, only to realize I couldn't build the thing... you'd think a guy would learn from his mistakes. None of the bugs really bothered me all that much! Getting killed through a wall the one time was kinda lame, but it only took a few minutes to get back to where I was, so... I know there's quite a few more things in the game, and I might dive back into things on my own time, but not sure I'll do it on the channel, I do want to move on to new games for now, but we'll be back in the world of Subnautica soon enough! Thank you for checking out my other series, and I'm glad you found the channel!
