Hey guys, the radio in the junkyard actually plays an interview that's quite interesting to say the least. It's really easy to miss, so I'll just copy and paste it down below: - Interview with Amy Rivers, Director of Curriculum at Blackwell Academy, about Blackwell's shift into fine arts... Stan: "Next up, I have Amy Rivers, Director of Curriculum at Blackwell Academy. Hi, Amy, I understand you're here to discuss an exciting new direction for Arcadia Bay's most elite private school." Amy: "Exciting is the perfect word, Stan. Thanks to a generous donation from the Prescott Foundation, Blackwell has begun shifting its focus to fine arts." Stan: "That sounds fantastic, Amy." Amy: "We'll also be adding a fifth year of classes to offer students a jump on collegiate-level creative skills. This semester we've added theater and next year we're adding a photography track." Stan: "Photography! Oh. Oh, snap. Do you know who'll be running the program? Amy: Well, Stan, currently we're interviewing some well-known photographers; Gabriel Walker and *Mark Jefferson*, to name a few." Stan: "Good things in store for those Blackwell students. Thanks for filling us in, Amy." Amy: "Anytime." So as y'all can see, they mention that Jefferson is coming to Blackwell next year and that's probably when Rachel "falls in love with him", which is so disturbing considering she would only be 17 years old at the time. Rachel was definitely groomed by Jefferson and I feel so bad for her!

If Rachel is the fire, I wonder who the "greater beauty yet to come" is? Also, yeah, I think they mention in the first game that the Vortex Club was originally founded when a bunch of outcasts and geeks banded together, so that they wouldn't get bullied.

Great episode, as always :) I liked everything you said on Chloe's situation. SO much is demanded from her and expected from her, while she has nearly no support and no safe space to grieve. I really like that this DLC explores this side of Chloe, where she is a hurt lonely child who doesn't know how else to react to the world. I think it's done much better than in the original game, though granted, in LiS1 time has passed and trauma has set in without any support still. It's complicated! Can't wait for the next episode :)

I like your opinion on the story, there some good points. You're right that Joyce should be trying to understand why Chloe behaves the certain way, and not to alienate her further by showing the distrust and getting together with David way too soon. But at the same time I think that Joyce is a classic example of survivor's guilt: remember that William died because Joyce made a call to him and asked if he can go to the grocery and pick up her, it's reasonable to think that Joyce still feels guilty about her last talk with William [even if she's really shouldn't blame herself], so that's the reason why she hides photos of William and rushing to be in relationship with David, another broken [from his war experience] person. Both Joyce and David find solation in caring about each other, otherwise they would have been depressed, lonely and without any hope for better future. Joyce also has quite mundane job, serving other people every day, and she has to be stressed about supporting her family financially [David eventually will be Blackwell's guard as we know from original game, but in BtS he's not hired yet]. So it's easy to understand why Joyce [who, btw, not so long ago was in a depression and didn't care even about making a bed] would miss why and how Chloe changed after William's death. If Chloe can drop out of Blackwell and be whatever with it, Joyce can't just quit her job and to leave Arcadia Bay because she wants an escape from all the problems; what looks as an easy exit for 16-17 years old, not so easy for an adult with life baggage. I like how LiS in general shows the imperfectness of parenthood, that raising a child is, probably, one of the most difficult task, especially because all your rights and wrongs will be obvious only after significant time when you finally see if your child was raised as a decent human being or an asshole without an ounce of empathy, and even then you still have doubts about some choices you made in the past. Prices, Ambers, Prescotts in BtS - a very good from psychological POV portrait of dysfunctional families. And all of them are dysfunctional for totally different reasons [Prices mostly due to the tragic death of William who was a glue in family relationship, though].

Do you think they might react to Charles Liu's "Arthur" video? It's a tribute to the story of RDR2, it came out a few months after you first played the game, the video has Roger Clark's (voice of Arthur) seal of approval.

Man, this is a really random thing to bring up from everything that's happened in the video so far but i'm SO sorry about the Kia Boys. i hope you guys looked into/are looking into the class action. i'd only heard about it but they broke my grandmas window trying to steal hers too. fortunately she had a wheel lock. unfortunately it was before they broke the window to get in before looking. they also took the neighbors under me from her garage the one night she accidentally left it open, it was really bad at one point.

her mom has been going through a ton of things as well - Chloe is stuck in mad zone in the levels of grieving and selfish for not seeing her mom needed her, too
