Thank you for staying! I've missed you...and myself. What you're saying hits home so hard. I'm 50 and have been watching you from pretty much the beginning. You were my first and always favorite vintage style KZbinr. I've let go of my vintage styling altogether because of weight gain, menopause, not feeling comfortable in my body anymore and just plain ol' looking matronly. I'm lost and just end up buying all my clothes from Costco now :( It's thoroughly depressing. I'm so excited to see your new content! I'm so excited for you and this new chapter in your life. I'm excited for me too! I've been searching for some sort of compass or direction to take and here you are coming in clutch! I've been so uninspired and this feels like a much needed kick start.

ok.. full disclosure here. I was in my 40's when i found your channel. you gave me ideas for dress attire for the office and how to easily do my hair to look a bit retro, i have since lost my job, was put on permanent disability and have aged into my 50's. For as much as i love the vintage style i have lost my sence of direction in what to do to remain somewhat vintage but not look like im trying to be a 20 year old, if that makes sence. i am looking forward to your thoughts on aging and trying to remain retro, i also understand that not every video will be about retro and i am looking forward to that as well. i am sad to see you leave "Lisa Freemont street" but hope it will remain available to look back on for inspiration. Thank you for the many years of being " Lisa" and i wish you much success as Lady in Waking. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year indeed!

I started watching your videos at 14, begging my parents for a Hell Bunny dress and fumbling my way through using foam rollers from the 1990s. 10 years later, I’m still a vintage fashion lover with considerably better hair and makeup skills and I have you to thank for part of that! Thank you for being so authentic and genuine. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for you!

Mistakes?! You were doing this when it wasn’t even a thing and there were no “rules.”…You have always been the best and the authority on vintage hair to me. I’ve watched you from the beginning as an amateur historian and big fan of vintage everything, and just as a fellow mom of about the same age going through life and enjoying our hobbies. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I appreciate your hard work! Please don’t ever take your old videos down as I use them as a reference in my history and fashion research.

I'm a bit sad. I started my vintage hair journey around 2009 and the channel was always for me a source of inspiration, especially for someone with fine hair. I'm afraid that a lot of the material will be removed with time, as it happens with many inactive channels. A lot of the things you put up were unique on youtube, even untill this day, and I come back to them. I wish you luck on your new journey.

I adore your channel not only because you invited us into your vintage journey but you have done it with such grace and generosity. I never saw the "mistakes" so I guess I am clueless but I know that many of your videos are on my favorites list because I return to them time and again not only for the information but just to hear the cadence of your voice and the inviting way you help us try retro fashion/hair/make up that is accessible and playful. As a former platinum blonde who returned to my sandy blonde locks due to someone telling me how surprised she was that my hair turned white so soon, I realized that my former retro styling was no longer working, so this new venture will be most welcome also! with much love for your continued happiness, S-

That's how I got a notification about this video. I'm still far from the mature bracket but I look forward to the new channel. 😊 There's already enough influencers saturating the new scene that IMO, seem to be more preoccupied with glammed, costumey intepretations of looks than actually creating their own everyday style. Hello Ashely, I’ve been watching your videos on and off for years now. Your channel was the first I Subscribed to. I came back to visit after a break and was so saddened to see you say goodbye. I felt guilty, so I will go for your videos and like as many as possible. Thank you for the inspiration. You indeed are a very talented lady. I wish you luck on your new journey.

Thank you for teaching me how to do pin curl sets. Your method has been what has worked the best for me when doing 1940s styles as someone with finer hair. 😊

This going to be great. I remember subbing to your channel a long while back as there was really nothing around at the time about vintage hair or makeup or anything really. I have several years on your so need some tips on how to look great in a more vintage and classic way.

I’ve been following you since 2015, I’d say, and I am so excited to see this next project take flight! Best of luck!! 💗 I love being a part of the vintage community and seeing what all ages, sizes, genders, etc. get up to.

Hoping to see your new vids soon! I’ve followed you from the beginning and you’re still one of my favorites. I’m almost 52 and can really relate to what you are saying. And I love how you are going to keep things simple.
