This is an amazing take... imho possum are so ugly that they go right past 'so ugly it's cute' back into 'holy crap that thing is ugly beyond words, it's like a rat with a pituitary problem, only uglier' territory. That said I live on a farm and they are a nuisance animal out here, and they aren't native so nothing will eat their stinky selves around here (they literally have stink glands, at least they don't spray!).

So I looked it up, I guess it's like 'kor-uh-skate' for the root word, kinda means shiny. Made me think about the the Star Wars city planet, which is pronounced differently, with a soft c at the end (shouldn't it just be a rule you shouldn't use a hard 'c' and a soft 'c' in the same damn word?? Fantasy words drive me bonkers sometimes), but I was pretty sure Star Wars was just pronouncing the word wrong. It's honestly impressive that anyone could take Star Wars seriously after finding out the lobster people are called Mon Calamari. I feel like having Boba Fett ride around on a Rancor and kick ass is WAY more OG Star Wars than anyone actually wanted to admit, the problem is they didn't WANT that kind of Star Wars anymore because they're not 8 anymore. RANT OVER! Cats would disagree that squirrel and rat are interchangeable, rats are easier to catch but probably taste terrible. I would have liked this setting way more if Jace was a lamprey or something else obnoxious, I can't believe they brought the most annoying character in Magic back (at least we're done with Urza... Oh wait they'll just go back in time whenever and then we can have 12 new Urza cards. Gah. No clue why Magic leans so incredibly hard into the least interesting characters... "Oh, look, it's another a male fantasy stand-in character!", that sums up Jace and Urza quite perfectly. This is why women artists often make better characters, it can be less wish fulfillment-y).
