I actually used the Kadabra-Mankey fusion in my game! My reasoning is that combining a Psychic's high special attack with a Fighting's high attack was an unbeatable combination! And it is, in a way.

9:50 so this here happens to me a lot, so I'll let you know what happened: you normally select a pokemon, choose "fuse", then the game lets you drag it to another one to fuse. Instead you chose "move", moved it to another pokemon, and selected "fuse". This makes perfect sense logically, but doesn't actually work; instead the game gives you a popup (I guess the capture didn't catch it) with the pokedex ids of both pokemon, and after you close it you go back to holding your pokemon.

Each specific combo has a type, so yes, making Kabudrill and switching to Beeto would still make it Bug/Water HOWEVER! The way the fusions are positioned chooses their abilities, but it keeps its ability on reversing. So say you wanted Sturdy from an Onix fusion, you might not get it as a choice if you make it the body - but if you make it the head, choose Sturdy and THEN reverse it, it keeps Sturdy.

As far as I'm aware, you can't burn fire types, Grass moves like Leech Seed won't work on Grass pokemon and I don't think Poison types can be poisoned

Weirdly enough, the Poison Mushroom item that poisons a Pokémon in exchange for healing them can poison a Poison type, and they'll take poison damage if you move around or send them into battle.
