You have learnt your lesson, be kind to yourself now, spray off your entire perfume collection and don't buy anything. Besides the prices are out of the minds of the marketing experts. Afternoon delight is a love for me. I bought the smaller bottle and can’t wait for the Sephora sale when I will be buying the big bottle. I smelled Gucci gorgeous orchid at Sephora and liked it a lot. It reminds me of the shaved ice cones I use to get in Mexico when I was little. I will be buying a travel size.

I adore the 11:11 Vanilla. The original 11:11 is amazing but quite masculine. This vanilla version is feminine without powder or floral - it's a perfect ultra feminine twist on the original, at least to my nose.

I feel so validated in hearing your reviews of these new vanilla releases and just continue to enjoy how you dissect scents. The responses to Promises Promises have been interesting, but I think it’s a vanilla with a composition that is very true to the Kerosene DNA. I got a resinous ambery essence more than vanilla plus a slight crudeness that you better articulated as an animalic edge similar to Absolute Aphrodisiac. I’ll have to revisit Heal the Way once the temperatures drop more ❤️

Oh Anne I think we were all super excited to see all the vanillas coming out. We appreciate your honesty!! You never sugar coat anything even if the fragrance is from your favorite brand or is sent to you in PR. It’s the honesty that brings us all back to you💕. I still have my afternoon delight(bought full 100ml bottle) and did not expect it to smell like what it did. I’m going to say it’s growing on me , fragrantica doesn’t list all the notes I got the actual list from replica’s website and it kinda makes sense why it smells the way it does I mean bitter almond essence, Angelica root essence and carrot heart was not going to give us a true madeleine experience and now that I know the list of notes I feel like I’m enjoying it more. Other than replica I didn’t care for all the other vanillas so far😊

I applied Celeste (6 sprays) about 15 minutes before entering Culver's. We were behind one other couple ordering. So when we approached the cashier 2 people behind her were asking what's that smell, where is that coming from. The cashier said I think it's her (pointing at me). I said Oh sorry. I just sprayed it. She said don't apologize it smells great. After she took our order she said please tell the name😁I looked so plain - makeup less & in workout clothes - but smelling good. And Khair Pistachio is lovely. I honestly get a more powerful scent than Yum. I struggled to smell Yum.

Anne! The Gucci orchid vanilla fragrance made me nauseous immediately!! I tried it on and within 2 minutes I was queasy and was desperate to scrub it off. I got this salty savory food smell from it that gave me the feeling of I just ate in a cafeteria and my clothes smell like 20 different food options from a buffet. I can not with that fragrance!

At first I did not love heal the way because I was getting SO much palo santo and davana. It was so woody, dry, and earthy to me, not warm and sweet. However, lately a switch flipped in me and I love it! I am getting so much more of the warm cozy sweetness.

I currently have 11 11 vanilla in my cart @ulta. It's been there since I heard about the launch. I wasn't in love with OG and so I thought I might like this version. Is it in any way similar to salt air? Also didn't check out because I'm a little bored of vanillas...still on the fence.

I don't think it would be a safe blind buy for you. If you're bored of vanillas, this doesn't offer something new or exciting imo. It's very different from Skylar Salt Air! It's more so in the family of something like JHAG Vanilla Vibes. Salt Air has a veryyy subtle, natural sweetness to it, it doesn't even smell like vanilla to me, that note is very soft to my nose. It smells much more airy, coastal, and like freshly laundered linen. The salt note isn't as loud to me, it gives the fragrance a fresh, clean ocean breeze quality rather than something more marine. :)

I heard you mention a salt vibe so that fragrance came to mind. Have you tried Sphinx mangolicius hibistorm yet? I've tried with a few of these too with no luck. Gorgeous orchid was like I was wearing a nice vanilla body spray and a wet bathing suit (guess I don't like that marine aspect either). The 11 11 was boring and not worth the money. I also like how Heal the Way smells, but I don't want to smell like it. It's better for my bank account this way, anyway.
