Hi, I have been a Metallica fan for 40 years. Got the L.P's, T-shirts, tatoo's and seen them in concerts. My kids have all heard me blasting Metallica out for years. All of them play fortnite and got me into it back in 2020. This is AWESOME! I just hope my wife does not see how many V-bucks i have spent on them. Long live the 'tallica boys!! Hell Yeah. ​@@splat-boy5414the first album is very raw feeling, and some says that the first album has more "teenage angst" power in it. The second album is a massive step up from the first album overall. Tremendously better leads from the previous one, more tight, and also they wrote a ballad for the first time in this album called Fade to Black (which is so magnificient and beautiful) The third album is the most balanced one compared to the previous one, if you think the previous album is not fast enough, this'll do it for ya. Now the fourth album, if you said to yourself "man Metallica isn't fast or heavy enough!" Well guess what? This is their most heavy, fastest, and their most brutal album in their whole entire discography, though the mixing is not the bass, like inaudible bass, very dry drums and guitar tone, its still so damn good.

I was basically introduced to metallica through fortnite. I have known of them my whole life and heard a few songs here and there, but playing through all of the songs on festival and learning more about their story as a band through playing has actually been really awesome. I have gained a lot of appreciation and respect for them! With that said, I think there is a lot of people who are upset at collaborations like this because they wanna gatekeep their favorite bands or whatever and its really sad. it's not that long if you don't try to do everything in the first days. You just need to play a little every day for the daily quests and wait for the weekly quests. I completed the previous passes in about 10 hours.

My son is 12 and he's always liked Metallica, but this just adds a whole new dimension to the band and their music for him and all his friends who play together. We're both having a blast grinding this Festival Pass and enjoying the BR additions, even though it's hella difficult (for me at least) to hit another player with the guitar, haha. Some good ways of getting some extra value from this is by using the Banner Icon cosmetics along with the Superhero Emoji cosmetics. It allows you to turn the emojis you get from the Festival Pass into backbling and have cosmetics with the Metallica "M" on it. I have a flag-wave emote that I'm going to put that "M" on and use with the band members.

Notice: its more optimal to launch your attacks upon upon unlocking them. Saving the boost as a counter is the best option when in 2nd or 1st place. Also, hitting the right trigger acts as any note so long as you have the boost/attack available. You can now use certain guitar hero peripheral devices in fortnite festival.

While I'm not an active metal listener like my friend is, I'm really glad to see Metallica make it to Festival, since we were previously lacking in metal music entirely. Before Season 3, we only had 4 metal tracks, and one of them was an Epic Games song. As for the gatekeeping, I think it's cringe and needs to stop entirely. I can tell people still have the "Fortnite bad" mentality ingrained into their brains and freak out when anything they like collaborates with them. I don't understand that form of logic whatsoever, and all it does is cause unnecessary negativity. I'm happy for a vast majority of artists who make it into Festival (unless their music/behavior is absolutely terrible), and I've been begging for Harmonix to add some more underground artists to Festival. The extra publicity and ears on their music is a good thing, regardless of their popularity. If they didn't do this with Dragonforce back in the Guitar Hero days, they would be nowhere near as popular as they are now.

I come from the punk rock, post-hardcore scene never been a big fan of this heavy metal stuff, but i will say as sort of a first time actually sitting down and listening to these Metallica songs and not tuning it out when it plays (im young) they're honestly really fun! I really hope later down in the line we get more Metallica songs because they are very fun to play on the hardest difficulty :D

Despite liking Metallica very much, not exactly a fan like you. But as a Fortnite player, I can say that the Festival mode was totally saved by this Metallica collab. It's not even fun anymore to play songs, other than Metallica's , it's like the mode was built to them. It feels like a super rockstar playing their songs. And their loot island is the coolest ever.
