To answer Dave's question: The invincible comics start relatively tame, and the scene between mark and omniman is nowhere near as graphic, but the blood and gore escalates from there and definitely exceeds what has happened in the show so far.

The comics were a lot edgier, though. Like in terms of sexual jokes and that. Glad they toned it down.

What's interesting about the comics is that they didn't actually start out particularly gory. It's been a few years since I really sat down and read them, but outside of murders of the Guardians, there wasn't too much gore. Even that was light, because it just showed a few panels. I distinctly remember an event later on in the books that happens where they finally crossed that gore line and some people wrote to Robert Kirkman complaining about it, saying that it was supposed to be a "feel-good book". Light hearted golden age superhero stuff, right? The gore increasing was gradual in the comic. In the show, they really popped off with it right from the start. I do think later seasons will get gorier, or at least maintain the same amount.

Phil Lamaar is a LEGEND, his voice has been one of the dominating voices in cartoons and video games throughout the 90s and 2000s! Samurai Jack, Static Shock, John Stewart Green Lantern (Justice League), Clone Wars, + countless DC/Marvel animated projects and Cartoon Network/Nickelodeon stuff. Daveed Diggs is a rapper part of clipping and he was Thomas Jefferson in that play, Hamilton.

The gore is pretty equal in the comics but its even more visceral, since its not animated and you don't just see it for a few seconds. It's literally an entire page of someone's face smashed in

Kombat Packs (extra characters) in the Mortal Kombat series tend to have a certain theme: In MK9 and MKX, it was horror characters like Freddy Krueger, Alien, Leatherface, etc. In MK11, it was all action heroes like the Terminator, Rambo, and Robocop. Ed Boon (the creator) said that this game's Kombat Pack theme is R-rated superheroes. And I mean, your guys' reaction says it all.

Omni man vs homelander is a question people have had for a while , there’s an animation of it too which is great , I won’t say anything about homelander combat history against supes or anything as don’t want to spoil anything . So at this point it’s not comparable as omniman clearly destroys a lot in invincible - but the fact we get to play it out in mortal Kombat is amazing
