I'd say that the trailer shows content from the first 6 episodes but it's very hard to say where they are in the production since the next arc is very diffrent and they don't want to show stuff from it in the PVs

I heard they Share much more staff and even the same director and the gap between them (airing) was Really low (The same year right?). So that means they Quickly did pre production and production at The same time? Obviously no and they Share even the same director and as i heard much more staff is similar. So it's obviously more complicated and i hope it has an average schedule like season 1. And also they can't Show anything from shibuya yet and this arc is short so we can't also Tell if they started shibuya now or at like Middle or Something. There is probably gonna be a trailer for shibuya and Second cour basically. I hope they have enough time for it to keep the Quality consistent

As for the production schedule. We dont really know the exact schedule yet and and it's mostly speculation. But it in theory has less issues going into it then season 1. Season 1 had a director who was working on 2 projects (GOH & JJK) that came out very close to each other which he mostly animated GOH. Assigning a newbie to do the compositing with no clear direction. A fairly detailed artstyle that made it harder to animate. Season 1 also had a bad schedule. Season 2 at least has a director who only directed like 1 episode of CSM and I think 1 episode of ROK while working on JJK. So he probably could mostly focus on JJK. A simplified artstyle that will make it easier to work on for the animators and the animators can be more loose and expressive. Plus it probably saves a ton of time. Not only that it could probably make it easier to entice lot more KA to work on it because the loose style allows for more flexibility and freedom versus CSM and even JJK S1. Avoiding a lot of the mistakes of S1 and hiring more competent staff and the previous staff being better trained and prepared. MAPPA's CGI and VFX dept has improved since then. Plus you got a guy with stellar vision as a direction. Not a knock against Park. His action choreography saved S1 but having someone who cares about all aspects of the presentation from top to bottom will probably do wonders for the overall look and feel. Also the fight choreography in the manga for this part of the season is already insane. They just need ro gorgeously animate it with Gosso's amazing direction and it will already top S1 in fight sequences. Outside the fight in the bathroom I dont think Park's brand of action choreography will be that needed. There probably will be some dips in the season and it probably wont be as consistently amazing as we see in the trailer for all of the season. But it will most likely still be a big improvement over Season 1. That is good enough for me. Doesn't need to be as good as Heavenly Delusions and CSM all the time nor was I expecting it to be.

a lot more animators can work on jjk s2 because unlike chainsaw man, it does not only let realistic animators work on it but also kanada-style and norio matsumoto type animators. But with this tight of a schedule there will probably be some episodes that are pretty limited with only a couple good cuts

9:59 I partially disagree with your statement that later episodes will be worse looking in a complex, I think that middle eps will definitely look limited compared to first arc eps, but it always been like that in s1 too,even worse, then there were rarely stable full-fledged episodes,only a few that stood out on which they concentrated more,so there is nothing new, in principle jjk staff is very fast moving throughout,main KAs began their work much earlier than many people think, they are working on all episodes at once, eps are divided into PA, KAs are transferred by stages and progress, beyond the medium ones and further they get the remaining LO/nigen. Different episodes may be ready to varying degrees, conditional 10th ep may be worse than 11th and vice versa. In s1 episode 20 is broken due to 19 and 23/24. so in my opinion second cour will be stronger, especially the last eps

It depends on how they space it but the scene with Gojo upside down is the final portion of the first "arc" for next season. So assuming Hidden Inventory is around 6 episodes they've show things from episode 5 or 6 of the arc. After that is an in-between arc with an EXTREMELY interesting encounter which I think will determine overall how strained the team is, and after that it'll immediately go into the 2nd arc (which I think should be the main focus of the animation team given what happens).

They have only shown stuff from the hidden inventory arc (gojo's past) which is 15 chapters long (chapter 65 - 79). However they did show stuff from the end of the arc like : chapter 74 (gojo reversal red) and chapter 76 (geto eating the curse and also the last shot of him wet).

Obviously no way to be sure; it's an estimation based on a number of factors like Gosso working on CSM ep 8 for example. I also took the pre-production time into consideration. I'd assume at the very best they got a bit lesser time than season 1, which also had a bad schedule but only pulled through cause of the blessed staff and healthy pre-production.

it's either they are going for 24 ep with each arc being 12 episodes, but that would be really weird because the whole teen Gojo arc is pretty fast in the manga and should be around 6 ep, but maybe they added a bunch of scenes or made the fights longer ? The main problem being that the following arc and second part of season 2 is probably everyone favorite bit and one of the most anticipated anime part ever, and it's actually quite long, so I hope they do a 6/18 cut

this pv showed cuts from just about every portion of the story, aside from probably the last one or two episodes being only the final cut of geto, the pv showed the very first scene, the buildup, and the climax of the entire arc, the first scene being the one with utahime, the buildup being bagman, and the climax being the fight with toji and more specifically gojo's red, give or take a few in between sections. the second cour of season 2 is bound to be 3-5x as intensive on high level and fast moving fighting scenes compared to this arc, so it's genuinely surprising to see so much effort put in just from the PVs. jujutsu kaisen season 1 pales in comparison to everything coming up, and it's so exciting to see everything take form

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately, the content they've shown so far is most likely no more than the first six episodes (if even) of the two cour season that's been announced. Obviously shibuya is gonna be fucking awesome because of the fights, but this first arc they are adapting is in my opinion the most emotionally interesting and focused part of the whole series, and my personal favorite. Other arcs can feel like they bite off more than they can chew, especially recently with the culling games, but gojos past has a small but fantastic cast and some amazing fights. So pumped to see it animated with the style and fluidity they’ve shown off so far

Just discovered your channel, great stuff! I noticed something that maybe you didn't about the latest trailer. There are actually some compositing changes from the first one. They're pretty minor but still noticeable nonetheless. In the first trailer, look at the scene at 23 seconds, with Gojo on the rooftop shattering the glass and doing the pointing motion with his finger. In the second trailer, look for that same scene at 16 seconds and again at 1 minute. That faint greenish tint is gone and the sky is now totally blue, and the lighting on Gojo isn't as pale and bright. Also ,that action scene with Toji with the crazy smears as he leaps towards the camera is ever so very slightly zoomed out in the newest trailer.. but just barely.

Recent bad news: Unfortunately, this is a Hell's Paradise situation but with Seshimo team. Although the footage for the trailer is not exactly "preanimated". They chose to polish certain scenes of the episodes for the trailer, so they are indeed going to use the footage. This is horrible, I thought at least the first cour was going to be saved in terms of production, but apparently they recently finished just the episode 1. A SPLIT COUR is obligatory. They need it. There are already comments of the staff regarding the situation. Koiso saying that his corrections are being ignored, Imai tweeting "I'm confident I'll catch a cold and go down after this job" "I feel like I've worked for a year in the last few months". And Kozuma was recently hospitalized for anemia. (it could be because of his age) Here is some good news: Arifumi Imai ED and SB on JJK S2 #4
