Help small KZbin channels survive. Remember to hit that LIKE button! 👍

Unless KZbin changed their algorythm, comments are the most valuable interaction, followed by liking a comment, and then video like. If you think about it, for a viewer to comment they are invested in the video. This is why the bigger channels try to get the viewers to comment. ie. Name this character, or give a suggestion for something and I'll pick the one with the most likes. This is why I try to comment on the smaller channels.
@Glidercat8 ай бұрын
@@Slackware1995 I try not to coerce or trick my viewers into engagement. Of the more than 1600 videos on my channel, I probably ask viewers to subscribe in about 10 of them. Prompting for a LIKE in a pinned comment is the least obtrusive thing I could come up with. Ads are enough of an interruption on their own. I try not to pepper my viewers with more solicitations. Maybe that's why my channel is still so tiny! 😸😸😸😸

@@Slackware1995 It's funny you say that, because just in the last few weeks it seems that KZbin is pushing my content in front of way more viewers than usual. I always feature very cool games and I'm not doing anything different, but lately I've been getting way more views than is the norm. I don't know if my channel just crossed some threshold that the algorithm likes or what. My main focus is on the games themselves. So whatever the case may be with KZbin, that is where my focus will remain.

@@Glidercat You have good content. Never forget to have fun. I believe if you continue as you are and engage with viewers you'll grow your fan base. These are the viewers that watch all or most of your videos and engage. In other words they are the core that will help you build your channel! Many of the big gaming channels are annoying. One genre seems to be about yelling and screaming while playing FPS type games. This seems to be popular with teens and early 20's. Junk content with a massive following. One Creator whose name starts with Nook is a total airhead who creates as many videos as possible while joking around. He'll do a 3 hour long video on a strategy game without trying it out first. 3 hours of him fumbling around not understanding the GUI, or how the game works. Worse he isn't a strategy type person. He'll just randomly move units, etc. He constantly does "dad jokes" and just talks about nothing. I've stopped watching him for over s year and now KZbin doesn't recommend him to be. I wish there was an option to block a Creator. Just because I watched a couple videos doesn't mean I want to watch every video they have, which In his case tends to be 3+ per day. There is another Creator that I've given up on. He also talks alot. He tries to hide that he's texting, but head down at an angle and not doing anything is just obvious. He wears sun glasses, which is probably to help hide that he texts. Watching smaller creators play the same game has shown me that he only gets about 1/3 as much accomplished. Between stopping to talk, texting and being scatter brained it takes him way to long to do anything. He also does multiplayer. Why anyone would want to play with him I can't fathom, as he's all about him. The group will go on a quest, end up in a fight, but mid fight he starts collecting drops or texts. He'll randomly stop walking, so his friends walk around a corner and end up in a fight. They'll call for help, but he's texting or realizes there are drops nearby or worse go around the corner and pick up loot whiles his friends are killing.

All power for all facilities connect automatically so you can put a corridor alone with a laser mining turret on top and it will mine if you have enough power anywhere. Also, you can name the storage containers. These aren't spoilers inho.
@sawyeriii8 ай бұрын
Yea an interesting fact that I would expect them to patch out in the long run but it does work for now. So you can drop down only a corridor and a laser miner next to each big concentrations of deposits( like the gold group shown earlier this episode) as long as the total station power levels are high enough to support 100 units per laser. I suggest the high cap batteries, and mount them on the corridor undersides. Also, as you suspect, yes, those oxygen generators can be placed in space like waystations all throughout the asteroid belt.

Always remember to take out the power cell before you destroy something. The O2 Station takes a long time to recharge. But every time you build it, it starts with a full recharge. So, build it, recharge your O2, take out the power cell, then dismantle the O2 Station. Good to go.
@Slackware19958 ай бұрын
Move the laser next to an airlock. That way you exit the station and quickly grab the ore. Saving travel time and it'll be easier to remember to empty. When you did the mission, right behind and above it is a structure with air and mining. Don't forget the bluish bubbles on big asteroids have air. They'll have food, fungus, containers, and mining nodes. I've seen people use the oxygen station for emergency air, it will easily fill you to 100%. Soon you'll be able to build 2 vehicles. One is like a space sled. It goes fast but no air. The other is like a space van. It is slower, but much faster than jet pack. It has air inside, cargo space and 3 upgrade slots. Upgrades include speed, cargo and a couple other choices. I recommend you build this in its own area near your storage. You'll want an airlock nearby and a powercell charger.

@Glidercat8 ай бұрын
I don't think you can actually build upon or expand the starting habitat. I could be wrong, but I think I tried that early on and it didn't work. I put my new habitat a bit aways from the first one, so we'd have another useful place to fill up on oxygen that's not right next to the first habitat.
