Interesting on using 10w-40 oil. I have an audi A6 3.0, i might try this viscosity, how this oil doing after few thousands miles ?

Ester absorb moisture easily and that is why normal they mix with PAO + ESTER. You are saying this is 100% ester?How is it possible?? Engine will normally will take longer time to reach working temperatures if 100% ester so how ?

Hi guys, I am Lim from PD. Have been using Chemlube for more than 22 years from metal can type in those days until plastic bottle. Use to buy from a tyre shop in Subang Jaya. Chemlube is definitely the wisest choice for my car. Try it then only will you know good is your car performing. Not only good but also more economical in term of money saving due to it longer mileage coverage. That is why I am still using this ester base lube after 22 years. Probably the longest consumer of this lube in this country.

Esther based oil has it's drawdown. It attracts moisture and hence, no oil manufacturer will use 100% esther based synthetic. It will probably mix with PAO or hydrocracked base.

Hi Bobby, may I know roughly how much is the minor and major service maintenance of ur S4? And how about the fuel consumption of the car? Cheers😉

I have been using shell helix ultra bought from my local Giant (SG) after the first 3 year servicing. So far so good, I change my oil at 12k interval. I rather trust a parallel imported brand name oil than a totally unheard of brand. Just curious, what make u guys point out repeatedly that the cheap shell helix sold in hypermarts are counterfeit? When they could totally parallel import it from other countries i.e europe. What shell Malaysia should do is provide a QR/serial number verification on all shell oils. That way, ALL parallel import or locally distributed engine oils can verify its authenticity. Stop the fear mongering, period.
@BobbyAngmalaysia6 жыл бұрын
We didn't say hypermarts are counterfeit, but we did say there are plenty of fake oils circulating in Malaysia. Consumers hunting for bargains are always the ones that kena. So if you know what you're doing, good for you. But many doesn't. I have a video that explains Group 1 to Group 5 engine oils. You can refer to that in the link in my description. Basically, the reason Shell/Castrol/Mobil etc cannot call their usual oil 100% Synthetic and can only call them Fully Synthetic is because their based oil is still from hydrocarbon. All hydrocarbon based oils will have carbon residues when they break down.
@jdfd49066 жыл бұрын
Bobby Ang good to hear that. Hopefully the general public would be smart enough to understand that hypermarts engine oil are authentic, just from diff manufacturing countries. Why would a company that big risk it’s repute by selling counterfeit stuff? It’s not your local mama shop haha.

Paresh Chelliah higher rear number is better since the front number with 'w' represent winter which is a starting temperature of the oil which is not so important in Malaysia.

Hi Bobby, I'm considering between a s4 and a A45 amg... Any suggestions?
@BobbyAngmalaysia6 жыл бұрын
The A45 will be faster than the S4 on track and windy roads due to its power and size. But it's small, cramped, feels cheap inside. The A45 is also highly tuned from the get go, a Stage 3 car i may say from the factory. The S4 on the other hand is extremely confortable, practical, classy looking, understated, and spending just very little money can comfortably nett yourself more than 400hp and more than 500nm of output, and can even go further than 500hp, something the A45s couldnt ... i'll will prefer the S4. But if you are someone who prefers the agility of a hot hatch, the A45 is unbeatable. I prefer the GLA45 tho, as that is even faster than the A45 because you dont need to brake or slow down so often from road conditions as it is basically a crossover.
@youwouldhaveknownanyway64385 жыл бұрын
Yeah, if not mistaken, GLA45 is only 1 sec slower than A45 on Nurburgring. Thanks for the explanation on 3.0 TFSI and Audi dual clutch

Just go with viscosity that the car company recommends. Most us do not have a PHD in chem enginering, so we are a assuming this is better than that. Example, if those fully ester oil are so good, why arent they recommended in Ferrari, Merc, Bmw, Porsche? Min group 4 is good enough.
@BobbyAngmalaysia6 жыл бұрын
Perhaps you can do a bit of study and research? Basically ester based oil is the only kind of oil aircraft engines are allowed to use due to lack of carbon deposits.
@petemorbius39366 жыл бұрын
@@BobbyAngmalaysia agree..but are we driving with aircraft engine? aircraft also use different petrol..but are we also using that? Fyi, Jet fuel is based on either an unleaded kerosene or a naphtha-kerosene blend.. maybe we should pump that in our tank?;)

Bobby, what are your thoughts on A4 B8 1.8T models? Are they reliable?
@jdfd49066 жыл бұрын
Do note that unlike a normal auto transmission car, it have 2 clutches which is a wear and tear item. The clutch can last anywhere between 50-120k km. Do find a reliable and competent workshop and stick with them if u intend to get the A4. So Long as u are comfortable with the maintenance downtime and cost, u are ok. As for the recent Hoo ha regarding hypermart engine oils, I have been using Shell helix ultra (with pureplus logo) bought from my local Giant supermarket (SG) after it’s 3 year free servicing. My opinion is it’s as smooth as liqui moly, at least the first 8k km yet cosy only $29.90, cheap as chips.
