wow..... I must give this Ester oil a try, for my dear Corolla AE 101, the first car I drove since my college days in the early 90s until now. GOOD EDUCATION...!! I learnt something new and possibly useful, in preserving my ride. Agree with your comment that you're out there searching for knowledge and information for our cars, while we're in the office earning a living to pay for our cars / rides. hahaa..

Yes agreed, used in the past ... Performance and detergent cleaning works great. Price is cheaper compare to other brand but as I'm drive as sales man... month oil change is a cost compare to normal office job. Any idea to have a product for best of both in cost and wear and tear for longevity.

How much ester needs to be present in the base formulation for the product to be advertised as ester engine oil? I've seen stuff labeled as ESTER and ESTER BLEND, so I'm wondering if this follows the same logic as FULLY SYNTHETIC vs SEMI SYNTHETIC?

Bobby. I drive a e39 530i. I find the last part is quite true, but I do feel sometimes we owners are at the mercy of mechanics, like "scared the mechanic dowan to do my car" kind of feeling, or "scared he simply do". How ah?

I am considering to buy Mizu engine oil because it mention "ester formulated" for the 5w40 and it also very damn cheap for ester oil. Can be trusted or not ya? I never use Mizu oil before.

shell are using GTL gas to liquid, seems at par with PAO..any idea zddp levels on chemlube? probably will call Leo for advice in m97 IMS /RMS issues..

Try Prince Lubricants. Best Lubricant with P9 and P12 ester based out there..

Is PAO+ESTER better than Ester based oil? If what you're saying is true about Ester oil price that's means Mizu Engine oil is lying to its users because their ester engine oil is just around RM80 for 4 liters

What is mizu lying about? Its group 5 kan.... PAO group 4+Ester is worse

Mizu stated their 0W40 oil as PAO+ESTER. From what I learn Ester is added only 10-30% not 100% ester because ester weakness is moisture.Once water mix into it it would be aciidic@@Verdeniza

Just wondering, let's say if the engine oil change interval is at 10k for a group3 fully synthetic oil, would the ester base (group5) fully synthetic oil extend the engine oil change interval?

Group 3 is NOT synthetic 😒 clearly you didn’t watch even the first two minutes. If you’re going 10k on a group 3 oil, then you’re going to get thick sludging and will gum up your engine.
