Payton Ashley I think even their music teacher is amazing at how much control she has. And she does so natural and so quick, that is why it isn't noticeable when she does it. Beautiful. I think this may be the best performance Carrie has ever given. Performed in a school auditorium with a piano and guitar accompaniment and a choir of school children loosely arranged around the room. Albeit a choir of very, very talented school children. Carrie poured it out there with everything she had including the smile and knowing satisfaction that comes with performing with the talented ever changing PS22 Chorus. Celebrity can change things but this is the Carrie I will remember most.

I like how she's not looking at the camera, she's focused on the kids and what her going there really means. To support those kids. 4:30 to 4:50 shows why this guy is such an excellent teacher who clearly knows a teachable moment when he sees one. Every kid needs to be told by the adults in their lives how brave they are and how proud they are of them, as this teacher made a point to do, giving them recognition when they take the risk to express their pain, or their joy, to the world through art and music. Carrie Underwood was dead on about two things...if only every kid had teachers like this....imagine the possibilities! Second...these kids are gonna be putting a lot people in the music business out of work down the road, if not sooner!

Carrie talked about before having Isaiah and Jacob, that she always thought that she wasn’t great with kids. Umm... this video and others that I’ve watched shows that she’s amazing with children. This video is so sweet and amazing! Those kids have powerful voices.

The thing is about control of her vocal power, is that, you can tell, how nervous those two standing near her, are nervous about singing their parts, but when Carrie joins them, Carrie adjusts and they relax, and she does it subtle, kids went with the flow.
