I watch this video, in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic, and I think of the lyrics. This song actually transcends the search for love but for happiness and life. And I look at the crowd ("oh wow, what is that?" ... it seems such a long time ago) of the people on stage and in the audience. Truly, humanity is best when we collaborate with one another, that is when we shine. Everything else, is just noise. "So small". So very appropriate.

same group as in the other video. And I like how Carrie bring her vocals down to showcase the kids. But that is normal for Carrie. She got such control over vocals. Whereas a lot of other singers don't. They have control, but you can tell when they change from high to low. Whereas with Carrie, she does it so well, it is not noticeable.

She has an amazing vocal control (abrupt changes in volume & pitch) & dynamic vocal range of 3 1/2 octaves whereas most Pop/C&W songs are written in a1 to 2 octave range (ie. Taylor Swifts music is all written within a 2 octave range) because most female country singers with the exception of Martina McBride can only cover 2 octaves! All of the music that Carrie has a hand in writing is written with her dynamic range in mind that few other female vocalists could sing.

I'm pretty sure they are different. They switch out the kids every year because a lot of them move on to middle school. The previous video was done in the 2011-2012 school year while this one was done during the 2012-2013 school year.
