The weather up north is getting cold, but the intercoastal waterway stretches most of the way up the east coast. The wetlands and barrier islands in North Carolina are spectacular. Next spring after the baby, this might be a great safe quiet stable cruise for you guys.

Ask the water maker expert what spare parts you should carry besides filter and possible a spare membrane. Fittings, hose, etc. Many places would not have any of the high pressure fittings or hoses. US is a good place to re-stock ALL of your filters and buy spare hoses and belts.

9:26 - I've lived in the area for years and I've never seen those hairy yellow caterpillars. But I do see the lizards that do push-ups every time I go outside during the humid months. Our dog chases them around like cats chase mice. I wonder how far up the coast they're going? The Carolina coastlines and inlets just about as different from Miami as you can get -- although that area was probably hit pretty hard by Hurricane Florence last month.
