Oh yes the vintage yet still useable gear is still alive!!!! Roland are masters of capturing samples and laying them across the keys with a decent amount elegance :) 2:30 was the SEINFELD sound 100

Amazingly good sounds for a 30 year old instrument! I just traded in a 22 Year old Ensoniq ZR-76 for the new Roland FP-E50. When they plugged in the Ensoniq to a Powered Speaker, I almost backed out of deal. These early Synths were incredible. Thanks for sharing, enjoyed listening.

I got mine out of the garage & dusted it off ...still works a treat, and the sustain pedal that came with it has a better design that doesn't slide around on the floor. My eyes are a lot older now though, so the writing on the top is really hard to see without getting 2 inches away 😂

Things like that are definitely a concern as one gets older :)

I got my Roland E-28 when i was a just a small child and the keyboard was a brand new model, still have it to this day. Works pretty well except that now some of the keys automatically play on the highest velocity no matter how soft i press the keys, so i always have to play with the velocity button off, so that all keys play the same velocity. A bit sad if i want to play soft music, but otherwise its not a big issue.

I bought one a few years ago. some of the sounds you've played do sound like it, but there are a couple of sounds that I found to be very weird. not weird in sound, but weird is that I can't seem to find them. maybe there are still things I need to learn about it. I was actually wondering when there'd be a fullon video about it. like some of the bases I don't have, or I can't find.
@gearfacts Жыл бұрын
It’s a pretty broad collection of sounds, the only unifying thing being that it is SO Roland :)

Yeah it's a pain and the outcome is never certain. The E28 still has reasons to live though, I recommend connecting other midi devices, there are some fun midi controllers out there that can make these old keyboards do some surprising things @@SiljeMeum

My first keyboard, but one of the keys does not have any sound, n had asked for help without any result. After all, it is too old. People said it is not worth fixing.😢

You can try disassembling it and cleaning the contact points underneath the keys. This often bring them back to life. There are plenty of videos on KZbin about how to do this.
@barry220108519 ай бұрын
Thank you for your reply, I already disassembled the whole thing, about 20 screws, and borrowed my neighbor's tool to clean the parts inside. Sorry it didn't work.
