I’ve been following Dawn more than Hyuna becuase of pentagon in 2018 when they released Shine. Obviously he captured me first with his unique style and nasally voice, akin to g-dragon (watch that one pentagon karaoke where pentagon cover fantastic baby and you’ll understand) and I always thought he was extremely talented whether it was through witty responses during live streams or certain game shows. Or through the music he produced with pentagon at the time. So I’m glad that he’s finally finding his own in the music industry and I’ll support it. I also saw the Hyuna-Dawn relationship as kinda holding Dawn back since Hyuna is extremely popular. So I’m glad he’ll get recognition by more people soon. Hopefully he’ll finally show case his musically abilities and not be fully attached to Hyuna. I mean his music under Pnation was alright, but it was clearly heavily influenced by Hyuna’s style of music, or Jessi’s style. Imo his style was kinda more r&b/hip hop and less of the experimental type of music jessi and Hyuna would release. So I’m glad he’s collabing with artists in that general style like 10cm, Devita, and Gemini.
