As someone who played this game since launch, this is very devastating news! Mario Kart Tour still deserves new tracks! I wished Luigi Circuit from Mario Kart Wii came into the game with a new Luigi alt, looks like that won't happen anytime soon... The dataminers predicted it right!

Let's not forget that there's no RMX Mario Circuit 2, RMX Donut Plains 2, RMX Bowser's Castle 2 or RMX Ghost Valley 2, despite the fact that there's RMX Mario Circuit _1,_ RMX Donut Plains _1,_ RMX Bowser's Castle _1,_ AND RMX Ghost Valley _1._ If these courses ain't getting sequels like RMX Rainbow Road 1, RMX Choco Island 1, and RMX Vanilla Lake 1 did, why add a 1 to those four courses anyway? And why _remove_ the 1s from all city courses when all of them _do_ have sequels? And where's RMX Koopa Beach, anyway?

@@ArendAlphaEagle I mean I didn’t really consider RMX tracks as missing variants. They’re basically just remakes of existing variants of the SNES tracks and we weren’t really going to be getting RMX versions of every SNES variant and I’m fine with that.

We already have a Red Koopa Troopa, so I'm not really surprised there. Honey Queen, however... it's a shame that she's the only playable (non-guest, non-arcade) character to not return in Tour! Even Donkey Kong Jr. got in! 😢

I must say that I started playing Mario Kart Tour from the first day the game came out and I can't believe that it is almost coming to an end this feels so unreal as if I am in an avalanche of mixed feelings. I just have to say thank you very much KoopaV for all the work you have dedicated in all these years to datamining and without you it would not have been possible to know all the stuff that would come to the game, now we just have to wait for what will come later 😄

It's an end of a beautiful era! Been playing this game for 4 years since launch, I give my gratitude to the dataminers for their amazing work for solving a lot of mysteries hiding inside the game files, and also Nintendo for this amazing game! Farwell Mario Kart Tour, it was fun while it lasted... I will miss new tracks, drivers, karts, and gliders coming to the game. Part of the game ending tells me that Charles Martinet leaving the voice acting role also had an impact on this decision. I still wished all of Peach's alts from Odyssey came to the game, same for Mario, and I wished that there could've at least been 1 last Luigi alt into the game. I also wished every best Mario Kart Track from the SNES, N64, GBA, DS, Wii, and 3DS came to the game with it's R, T, and R/T with some exclusive Mario Kart Tour tracks by 2024/2025. Looks like that won't happen anytime soon. This is very devastating news! R.I.P Mario Kart Tour Content! - 2018(beta)/2019-2023 :'( We got this news in such short notice aswell! I genuinely thought that this game would've gotten supported updates for a good 1 or 2 years! Allwell, it is what it is, there's nothing I can do about it... Farwell old friend! You shall be missed!

I mean this was bound to happen. The game features 150 tracks and like 250 skins. Its a lot. I do question all the tours that added 2-3 in a tour. I wouldve just added 1 per tour and you couldve extended this game with new content for another year at least. That being said the game is still going to be alive and well new tours will continue just with old content. Which really isnt a problem given how much there is i doubt anyone has all the drivers or karts or have maxed out a lot. So theres still a lot to do. And their method of choosing 10 tracks at random per tour makes it so you wont get bored of track repitition. My only hope is the tours that come after do have a new set of tracks and just arent copy paste. Like this upcoming Battle Tour i hope has different tracks and spotlight drivers than the 2022 Battle Tour for example. If its just a copy paste of 2022 Battle Tour and this is how tours will be handled that is a problem. So i hope thats not the case. We'll find out in a couple weeks. Mario wiki has all the tours and their tracks in a database so i will compare. Just keep giving us new themed tours with different tracks and drivers and itll be fine. Its a bummer but cant keep adding content forever. We got a hell of a lot

I think all cities’ third tracks will be playable next tour, except Los Angeles kind of, with Los Angeles Laps 2 (the third released Los Angeles track) instead of Los Angeles Laps 3. Also the battle tracks will be New York Minute B and Paris Promenade B. I think next tour would have 20 cups if this happens.

Athens 3 will start in the same direction as Athens 2 (the 8DX version should've hinted at this). Rome 3 and Madrid 3 will start in the same directions as their respective first variants.

Re-read it. The wording is piss poor but seems to suggest that no new D/K/G following the battle tour (which starts 4/10). It should have said “from the battle tour”…. Either way it’s unlikely they will add new content after the main anniversary within the recycled battle tour

(I'm not including Paratroopa because we already have a Red Koopa Troopa, or the arcade characters because the arcade games don't seem to do any crossing over with the mainline series.) EDIT: Oh wait, the notice said that the Battle Tour is the last tour with new content, meaning that it is adding new content. Honeybee Hive as the last battle course paired with Honey Queen as the last driver, perhaps? 🤔

So Tour ends on a whimper then. other than the Playing Cards glider, none of these items have anything interesting about them. Gold Mario is the lamest driver they could have ended with considering he's been in the game since day 1. That Royal Kart just seems to be King Mario's crown on wheels and some more fodder gold items. Hope the city tracks can carry the weight of the final new tour 🙏
