Shout out to Limp too. They really didn’t ‘’need’ Primo. The record was 90% completed and it would have been a hit regardless of who put the finishing touches on it. Primo didn’t do a ton here, but he definitely helped make the track come alive. This collab no doubt bought premo the biggest checks he’d ever seen up to that point, and it opened a lot of doors for him.

I grew up a huge fan of Limp Bizkit, but I was way more into their metal stuff. Hip-hop was never really my thing, but a few years into listening to them, I started appreciating how great this song is. Now, 20 years after discovering them, I've outgrown a lot of their music, but this song remains an absolute favorite. @@CirvjaEfekts Good question! I've only listened to it twice so I'm not in a place where I can make a deeper comment on it. I will say that the extremely short run time of just over half an hour is *super* disappointing. They've had over 10 years to work on a record, and they give us thirty minutes? The music itself is pretty good, I would say. It's a pretty broad mix of everything they've ever put out. Have you listened to it?

@@CirvjaEfekts I thought it was lame. There's songs that just don't fit in with their sound. The album opens heavy and there's a few good tracks, but after so many years I expected better. The album doesn't have a good flow. It's missing the magic of Sam Rivers' and John Otto's infectious grooves. I get that styles evolve over time, but something is missing, and it just doesn't hit the same way their first 3 albums hit. They could have done much better I think

Before Linkin Park, one of the forerunners of rap-rock, nu-metal, there was Limp Bizkit. You have to give credit to limp Bizkit, at some point they branded MTV, and they created a bridge for Rap and Rock of the new generation at that time of the 2K era, 2000's created a symphony of styles and Limp Bizkit was at the forefront. I mean just look at this interview, a well known name DJ premier, who at some point didn't see Fred durst and the band, as someone he could connect with, but it turns out that it created many avenues and connections between people that would never have come together. This is one of those classic singles that just brings good vibes. It also shows you that everyone can eat from the cake and be happy and have a good time. @@Illyrian_Adventures I don't agree. I had the 12" back when it came out so always knew it was a Primo joint. If I didn't know that I wouldn't of thought it was a Primo joint as it sounds like a lot of other producers work from the late '90s. To me it doesn't really have that signature Primo sound, but that's just my honest opinion. Def looking forward to the story behind it though. Peace!

this is a crazy amazing story and shows you never know who is a fan of your work. I remember when this track came out, it was a real head turner for Significant Other. Nookie was a good set it off single, but, when this came out and the fact it was with TICAL that made me want to buy the album quick.

Gotta salute Premo for recording all of these videos and giving us a taste of the history he has laid down. I also want to acknowledge how humble and professional this cat is with always giving a shout out to all of his assistants and sound engineers that helped make all of this happen.

Just hearing this record for the first time in a long time, and didnt realize how crazy Primo went on it. Not to mention it was a great collaboration between Meth and Fred. They snapped on this record.

Limp Bizkit was one of the best bands of the 90's/early 00's. Love this song and still play it! The vibe of Limp Bizkit was great. Was like you can be whatever and get down w/ the sauce.

Goes to show that a great producer is the key to making classics. There’s a lot of rappers who rhyme better than Fred Durst, but some of them have never made a song as good as “N 2gether Now” because they don’t have the right production. That’s not to say that having an equally great rapper on a great beat isn’t important, I’m pretty sure that’s why Method Man was also on it. The point is without the right producer, there’s no way your music is gonna stick no matter how nice you are. Fred Durst isn’t necessarily a great rapper, but he did well enough to make a classic song on a classic Preemo beat and that’s more than we can say about a lot of these so-called “real hip-hop” artists, especially in the last decade.

Fred is like a contrast to Method in that song. They go very well with each other actually.

Primo....my #1 favorite producer forbthe last 20 something years. Love this man contributions to the culture. Also, never been a fan of LB but I feel bad about all those jokes at their expense because I heard Fred was a really good dude.
