The issue is, part 19 is the last......its been a months since that part came out in word form......i am sure its difficult to do this, but it is a shame, the story is awesome and so engrossing.

I love this story. I need more of it already, plus the voices in this actually sound more organic than others so it makes it much more enjoyable to listen to

I love the fact that she's straightforward. In too many stories they beat around the bush but she just lays it out so there's no misunderstandings. That's how I feel it should be like look here's how it is.

She is a military engineer and astronaut so it makes sense that she would be logical straightforward and to the point. Having been a combat myself I learned you don't f around giving instructions, especially in a dangerous or possible hostile situation especially when lives could be on the line such this scenario for your facing possible combat, you need to be straightforward no nonsense into the point or people could die. I like her idea of "a potato gun" however it's design and construction sounds like a high pressure pellet gun to me, I have seen and fired a few that could fire a .45cal projectile with enough power to take down a deer, and I have hunted small game with a .22cal pellet rifle so it could work. Her booby trap to hijack and infect the gravity belts also sounds a little bit like a landmine or IUD that could work, using sound effects also sounds a little bit like decoy in diversion tactics and psychological warfare. Even making the training videos on the fly on the flight for allies, makes sense.

I find this one of the best stories cause it's plausible unlike those "weak humans get mad and lolstomp galaxy with secret ancient supercarrier, all U base belong R us" stories.

I'm still surprised at how people don't get that "humanity fuck yeah!" stuff and look for "humanity, eh kinda reasonable" stuff. Still, a great story.

Mira and Povn, sounds like typical foxhole or battle buddies, even if they are different species. Bonding in combat learning to trust one another to watch your back, leaving no man behind. Even when Mira mayor went berserker with an ax, Povn still had her back giving her covering fire, when she was wounded and went down Povn evaced to medical as fast as he could and did what he could to guarantee her survival. He might not have stayed with her in medical, probably because wouldn't let him stay, and he would have had other duties and responsibilities as an officer but he was there with her breakfast the next morning to check on her and checked on her when she was moved back to her quarters and made sure she ate and continued to bond with Mira thru her recover afterwards. Povn didn't bring up the battle but he didn't abandon Mira after she physically recovered, but he was there for her if she needed him. Most combat vets don't talk about combat after the fact but it helps having a buddy who went through it with you. It's a bond unlike any other. There is no need for battle buddies to talk about what happened in combat, they know what happened, they were there.

The most believable part of this story is the warning that no matter what an alien looks like, some human is going to try to clap its cheeks.

5:54 okay, a jammer is one thing, but a godsdamn outer interdiction fleet... Idgaf _how_ close it is, a backwater, Class-Black or otherwise, is a backwater is a backwater. And _certainly_ not worth this on its own.
