This run was a work of art, a maddening spree of a man flying too close to the sun, tempting the fates with his grand ambitions of Make Number Get Bigger. And then when said ambitions caught up, threatening to send him plummeting to earth with melted wings, the man just says "I do have Sneaky Strike," and somehow lands with the grace of a swan. God. Seriously an amazing run, that was a real treat to watch.

I mean a) it doesn't matter that it does more since they both have the same outcome, and b) jorbs has literally one rule -- no backseating -- and yet people find it impossible to follow. the comment was "you need terror for finisher", which is wrong. my line killed on turn one while taking zero damage and did not use terror. so, claiming terror is necessary for finisher is incorrect, and saying that while i'm trying to calculate something is also incredibly distracting and disorienting, and removes my ability to focus on making good decisions in the game and my agency in choosing which paths are most beneficial to explore. it also breaks the channel's rules. i don't know if there are other iterations of these words i can type which will make you understand them, let me know if there is something which could help.

He miscalculated the benefit of terror. Strike adds 9+8(from finisher) so 17 while terror adds 18 damage (4*3+8*3) *.5 = 18. I don't mind him getting the math wrong in his head. It is understandable, but being smuggly rude to that commenter who was actually right is frustrating.
@srsgoblin3 жыл бұрын
Imagine you do this for a living, and you have 1500 people every day backseating every little thing you ever do. At some point the annoyance of the backseating takes over and you just assume (usually correctly!) that chat is wrong. I'm just trying to point out why that attitude happens. I think it's fairly understandable, especially when at this point he was like 25 days into the month challenge and the grind was probably wearing on him. When you're there on Twitch watching the runs live, it ends up making a lot more sense than when you just catch the KZbin runs. Edit: additionally, the commenter wrote "you need terror for finisher," rather than "terror gets you more damage there." He clearly didn't need terror for finisher as he had won the fight before the comment even showed up. So the commenter wasn't necessarily wrong if you extrapolate he was trying to say "terror gets more damage" but that isn't what he actually said. He was wrong in that he posited Jorbs NEEDED terror for finisher. Jorbs did all the math he needed to, because he realized he had lethal. There was no need to work out the damage terror did.
