While Inscryption is a game with heavy emphasis on story and atmosphere (the latter suffered from lack of music). Kaycee's Mod might actually be even more addictive to you.

I would point out that despite the review process capturing quite well popularity of a game, it fails to capture your actual demographics and what the sheer entertainment factor of your gameplay style entails. Hence why I'll suggest you consider timberborn for a playthrough.

Just came in to post about Timberborn. About a month ago in the experimental branch they released 3d water modeling which has allowed aqueducts, pressurized pipes, vertical building, etc. A good time to pick it up. Not ONI physics depth but fun to play with.

About Dyson cluster seed. My most recent game was on the 95632570 seed with minimum stars (32). That cluster has two O-type stars (2,2-2,5 luminosity) with four planets each and a gas giant. Both stars are close to the starting system and there is also a neutron star nearby. I built my Dyson sphere around Polaris star with 2,5 luminosity, four planets and gas giant with fire ice.

Slay the Spire really is THE card game to play on steam, Monster Train is pretty good too. For something that's a bit of a change of pace, Jagged Alliance 3 might be a good pick, very systems-driven design and very fun tactical combat with a pretty decent strategic layer over top of it.

2:16 I don’t even think that’s bugged, it seems like intended behavior so that the panels don’t look even more ridiculous as they clump around each node. My solution to this was to make a sphere with a _lot_ more nodes, basically as close as they can be together. Having a lot more nodes on a larger sphere also gives it a better sense of structural integrity; a lot of smaller struts holding them in place looks nicer than very few small struts. What _does_ seem bugged, or at least poor QoL, is that it prioritizes newer sails over older sails, meaning you end up with a lot of sails potentially being wasted if you don’t pay attention

I built a 1TW sphere around a regular (non-giant) B-type star. It had a tidal locked planet along with 2 other planets that I used for a total of 3 construction platforms for the 10-layer sphere. It's not "the hugest blue giant" and it doesn't have the most planets, but if you're interested in that seed (from like a year and half ago), it's 3264 3872 (star is named "Atria" when I generate the map)

I keep restarting at this level as I mess the layout up & run out of stuff but I'm going down the route of trying to section off the science buildings to the rest of the items instead of trying to connect factories together, I start up to red science then trash it all & rebuild in a better area as you will have more items & do a separate build for conveyors etc to keep them topped up & sectioning off the science. I find it a bit easier to manage although I've just started playing it after many updates. Embrace the spaghetti 🤣🤣If you get a good layout starting planet the science layout can go at the north or south nodes & everything else layered below it before i.e build all the science building where they fit say 4-6 layers down from the actual pole running around the pole then layer the factories for the science below them using the planetary buildings to store excess items or to bring in more from the other factories, then layer the factories for building items below that which can build excess of everything needed & transport them where needed. Devs seem to have done a good job with the puzzle aspect. I try to do a mall for science, 1 for buildings & 1 for everything else the buildings may need as when the excess builds up it never stops the science or the science should never run out of anything if it's all separate. Geesh even harder to explain than play 😂😂Nilaus & The Dutch Actuary are do great play through also.

I also find no matter which content I watch I struggle to layout factories as the world generations can be so different, you can get an idea of what goes with which factory & this is what I love about DSP every cluster can be different which changed play styles.

Once you are to the point of purple science what tends to happen is you take a break from science and do a huge build out to get purple science and a strong setup for yellow science. You tend to do the same with green science as well, because you need a lot of endgame tech to get green science and warpers. Once you get through those two build outs, which tend to involve going to other planets, and then other systems, they you find shortcut resources like fire ice and kimberlite that let you expand some of the more difficult resources, but a lot of the time until your getting ready for white science it's a game of stop, build out massively, then come back and link everything together to get science made. It slows down the dopamine rush, but you do get used to it, promise.

I missed this step & they help to keep builds cleaner & running. I agree with the build out & it is one of the puzzling aspects of this game that I've try to do too early on & ends with belts going everywhere.

Seed 62541589 is the one I'm playing on. It has an O-class blue supergiant with six planets on it, one of which is a gas giant, and numerous good resources nearby. Within a 6 LY hop you've got organics, as well.

Not sure such a solar system exists. I had checked this myself around 6 months ago. You can have fire ice in your starting system which helps to jump start your game. A quick google search will give you several options. I enjoy the mix of games you play. It helps me look into games I wouldn’t normally play. So please continue to mix it up. However, I understand your thoughts on Rimworld, but I feel your starts are too easy (for you! 😂). I’d like to see a tough start, with preselected fixed ideologies that go against your usual play style (no bionics, tree hugging, and no drugs! 😮), and maybe some role play rules that mix things up. The polls after each video were a great idea that you did. Maybe a few polls with your audience could help decide the rules to be applied?

I *said* I wasn't going to get Rimworld when I first started watching, and yet I have, lol. FJ makes it look so interesting! I liked the Inscryption series. For a DSP blue giant sytem, i think it can only generate with a maximum number of 3 planets. I estimated the time to build a max size 10 layer sphere for me at some point, because i was interestet in doing the exact saame thing. My estimation came out at abaut 60 real time days to build it 😅

Simple : here are the first systems with a Giant O star of luminosity bigger than 2.5 with 3 planets : 41, 1754, 3120, 5538, 7499, 11629, 14127, ..... There is a tool on the wiki to do this kind of search. Have fun ! My personal best is a 100 Terawatts sphere nicely visible on the galaxy map (even if far from the best ^^).

I saw someone the other say play Rimworld Alpha 4 which is the oldest downloadable version available. I thought it was pretty interesting to see them forced to play within the original constraints of the dev's vision. It might not be completable, but it might be a fun experiment to play for a few episodes. Also, I would love to see you play Clickyland.

So assuming 47/60 is big enough, the seed of my latest game has the above size O type star about 13ly from spawn that has 5 planets and a moon in orbit around it and another system with similar planet count 2ly away from that for extra resources. Also has a black hole nearby for funsies. Seed is 9865 5704 and needs 64 star count.

One of the things other youtubers did that proved decent was trying to deal with DSP while putting the Dark Fog difficulty settings on max, or something close to that. It proved entertaining. The dark fog does have Achilles heels, but that doesn't help at the start of the game and from what I have seen you haven't figured them out yet. It should prove interesting to watch you deal with that learning curve. I doubt it would take you long, but it should still provide enough content for a small series.

One consideration is that you can also ship photons via logistic vessels to other systems, so, you could theoretically just have one planet collecting and shipping out the photons and host the science factory someone else. Don't ask how photons can just sit around in spaceships. Or on belts, for that matter. Also, one of DSP's recent updates was compressing save files, so, you should hopefully be able to upload them now.

Seed: 17487899 Starting planet has a good layout - Icarus lands in an area with very well-placed initial starting nodes and the continent is big. There are 3 large coal veins nearby, 2 large stone veins, and a couple of big iron veins also. There are a couple of large copper veins reasonably close, though you'll probably tap the nearest set of big iron veins before you need more copper. The downsides: the crude oil is somewhat far from the starting location and there are only 1.7m Silicon in the starting system. A good upside: the two nearest star systems are only 3ly away. The G-star has everything barring sulfuric acid, the B-star has sulfuric acid oceans. No Unipolar Magnets anywhere than the black hole/neutron star, of course. B-type stars: 21 (!) plenty for you to have a look at. O-type stars: 1 (Venabulum) that is 16ly away, has the following characteristics: * Mass = 52.002 M * Radius: 5.07 R * Luminosity: 2.491 L * Temperature: 52.044 K * Age: 5 Myrs * Planets: 5 (none of them are gas giants) * Resources: 103m Iron, 124m Copper, 73m Silicon, 97m Titanium, 49m Stone, 5m Coal, 11m Fire Ice, 8m Fractal Silicon, Oceans: water and sulfuric acid Black hole and neutron star are 11 light-years away, in the opposite direction from the O-type star. ================================================================================ How I found this seed: sheer luck. My last seed was so incredibly inconvenient (no nearby big iron veins at all) that I finally stopped struggling to get a good start a couple of days ago and tried a new game. This was the seed that immediately came up - when I realized how convenient it was for starting up, I was sold. If I was actively going seed-hunting I would do the following with a new game: * Hit random a few times * Turn on Sandbox mode * Turn off Enemy Forces (Dark Fog - we don't want them while we're checking out the seed and the stars/resources are independent of Dark Fog anyways) * Start game, wait for the intro to show, hit Escape, select Skip Intro Go into the Tech Tree (T) and select the Unlock All option at the top left. Hit the Infinity sign at the bottom-right of Icarus' power bar. Yay infinite power! With all the tech unlocked: go looking in the star map, zoom in on the stars/systems, zoom in on the planets. Hold right-click on the surface to teleport to that planet. Have fun looking around! If you're lucky you might find a system with 2 or 3 planets orbiting the starting gas-giant. Or an ice-giant with Fire Ice instead of Deuterium.

For DSP performance turning off the rendering of the dyson sphere (particularly with a large or complex sphere) helps immensely for frame rate. It's nice to see it, but if you're just messing with factory building turning off the rendering gives a huge performance boost.

I don't know that there are seeds that fit your description. The universe generation also has rules for how many and what kind of planets can spawn around certain star types. I suggest looking for seeds with a singular blue giant (and maybe a red giant for the achievement?) and with fire ice in your starting system if not having two planets orbiting the gas giant in the starter system for maximum convenience. I've spent a lot of time looking for incredible seeds though it's a bit less convenient now since we can't tell at a glance if there's fire ice in the starter system anymore. I'll reply to this comment again within like a day or so to share the best seeds I've found that fit your criteria.

I dont think royalty is all that broken on its own, by default psycasts are heavily limited, its the added psysensitivity and bonuses you also get from ideology, biotech and anomaly that push pawns into the superhuman bracket.

I can recommend Subnautica:Below Zero, which is more of a dlc sized game than the original, or The Planet Crafter, which is about terraforming a Mars type world. Both of those are 1st or 3rd person perspective. Subnautica Below Zero is a much louder experience than the original, as all of the vehicles make far more noise, and some of the creatures are never silent, and there are far more voice lines in it, including from the player character, but sadly the game has no Cyclops submarine.

You pick games like I pick them and I really liked inscryption. Branching out now and again is probably healthy for your channel. That being said inscryption is almost pointless to watch once youve beaten it unlike other games. It also isn't very flashy which probably makes it hard for people to try to get interested(unless they already like it and then you run into the problem above.

Different than D.S.P, Factorio, Satisfactory and ONI there are a couple of other games that are really good. If you're looking for something slightly similar to Factorio, D.S.P. with factory building, automation, and tower defense then Mindustry is a really good game. If you're looking for Base Building, Crafting, Survival similar to that of Subnautica then there's Planet Crafter. Now personally, I don't know if I'll be able to run it with my old hardware, but I am waiting for The Crust to come out, or at least have a demo version to see if I can even run it.

Vanilla rimworld, but use CAI-5000 to improve the raider AI, and 100% threat scaling. Trust me, DON'T play CAI on 500%. It turns out, being outnumbered by an equally geared AND equally intelligent opponent is a death sentence. CAI makes normal killboxes nearly useless, so you'd have to get creative with base design, tactics, and strategy. Dubs Bad Hygiene also impacts base design, since you need to include bathrooms. Disable trading with settlements, using honor rules, a mod, or making all human factions permanently hostile. Spaceship trading is fine because it's unreliable, but for extra challenge disable that too. Trading drugs for guns basically skips the entire tech tree, trivializing the difficulty on any playthrough. --- You can include DLC, but use Cherry Picker to get rid of anything OP. Royalty: No psycasts. YMMV on jump packs. Consider keeping the mech clusters, those can be interesting to deal with. Ideology: Should be fine as is. Biotech: Keep children, cosmetic genes are fine, vanilla race mods are fine, but get rid of sanguophage genes and mechanitors. Maybe include an evolution mod that randomizes children genes. Anomaly: Completely disable for a 'vanilla' experience. Every aspect of the mod is OP, and most of it's threats are less scary than CAI raiders.

I feel inscryption didnt do the numbers because people already knew of it to some extent. The horror theme, the arg stuff. It's not a game to experience again and again because it takes away from the experience. Just my 2cents

IMO you should take this time without your stuff to produce to go back and find moments to turn into shorts. Go back and do a screenshot progression of each Rimworld nomad tribal wizard base you did and turn it into a series of shorts or something. You have so much footage you could turn into advertisement. Honestly so many people just love your taste so much you could just release 8 hour ASMR of you figuring out games WITH THE MUSIC ON and I’m sure people would watch

Like so many of your viewers would have loved to watch you figure out how energy worked. One of things that I really enjoy is you are one of the few who don’t stream and basically don’t get handheld by experts so when you explain to everyone something we figured out 20 minutes ago it is a lot more rewarding. Really interesting the dichotomy of having people enjoy you break games and follow your steps to break it and also having everyone enjoy you learn the game lol

How the hell can you say that Royalty is OP when the whole reason you were able to get however many warmachines with 10+ in every relevant skill and *all* psycasts is Anomaly. Plus the ghouls, plus multiple Anomaly threats *for some reason* being fully susceptible to manhunter pulses, plus death refusal, plus chrophagy. Every single thing added in this DLC blows out of the water everything that came before - even bioferrite longsword beats monosword in terms of DPS

I would say that Psy powers are the multiplier that makes pawns unstoppable. A pawn with great stats but no psy casts can fight 2-5 enemies in open combat before going down depending on weapons and armour. A psy cast pawn with average stats can cast berserk pulse once and take our 5 enemies easy. Invisibility means clutch doomsdays shots, skip gets them into position, skip gets centipedes into melee for your pawns. Anomaly is powerful but Royalty is still top dog in my opinion.
