So... Where Exactly did Todd Sample This?

Have you guys ever seen the part of his deconstruction video of "You're Sorry" where he talks about sampling Lonnie Liston Smith's "Live!" album, and you went through the whole album, didn't pick up on any noticeable textures, and wondered to yourself, "where in the world could he have sampled this in!?" This video showcases an incredible discovery, which both me and another incredible sample hunter in the TE community, DJPasta, both discovered after around 3 years since this video was uploaded to KZbin by Defected Records.

He is a genius. he uses a tiny second and makes it a masterpiece. Lonnie Liston Smith is on my jazz list so it’s cool because I didn’t know anyone else who was a fan. I don’t know where this sample comes from either.

Incredible !! Sometimes it is healthy to set things aside like you did (twice) to get a better perspective to avoid going insane. So, with that being said. It’s so early here 🥱, and I think I will sample some more sleep so I won’t go crayzee ! Great job!
