Best not boring warm up is dance with your fav song for 10 minutes. Dance crazy and sing. Always do that before play. Mood boost

Great advice, Crafty, as always. Something we all need a reminder of. We get so focused on the musical excellence, we tend to forget the hands, fingers, wrists, legs, and the other parts of our body that prop us up while we perform. Got to keep the whole body tuned and warmed up. Thanks.👌

I do some practice activities while I prepare for watching Crafty Music Tips. Usually it involves reaching, pouring, lifting, drinking .... repeat.

Very true. When I worked as a delivery I spent a few years rolling my left fingers back and forward to firstly, loosen them, add speed and flexibility with stretching. Guitar soloing wasn't one of my strengths, but I wanted to be competent at it. After 30+ I'm working harder than ever at it and slowing increasing my skill set.

I like to use alternates to stay "limber" when not playing in a regular fashion. Dabbling on a small parlor acoustic, or playing an electric with no amp. Using a drum practice pad instead of the full kit. Singing along with music is good to warm up the voice. A hot beverage is a must.
