I agree 💯. Ive learned at lot about playing the game by watching KZbin videos such as your channel. My server has a lot of bullies. But im not going to stop playing the game. Right now I'm in my solo alliance because they made me kos a couple months ago because i took at hit in Svs that was a factor in our server loosing the game. But ignored the bigs losses. I owe my ability to take the hit and being able to keep playing to your channel on building a good defense. Thanks for all your help.🎉

The important thing is to not let them get you down or lose the spirit to keep playing. We used to have people that felt that way about SvS on our server as well. Aka007, I agree a knowledge base is needed to be a good player. However 3500-4000% attacks make up for many short falls. Like any sport, money buys wins. Evony isn’t really a fair or balanced game. Unless you consider a chess match fair if your opponent can purchase extra queens. Congratulations on K40!🎉

Extra Queens?! I'd be shouting for the Arbiter 🤣🤣 Yeah, I agree with you. Money can make a whole lot of difference and make things very unfair. But when we are talking about being good at the game, one thing I've noticed is that quite a few of those "big" spenders aren't all that good, and it becomes apparent when they have to face other players at their level. I've thought about this question a lot myself as R4 of the second-biggest alliance on the server and having the impulses of a teacher (also, some experience with gaccha games before joining Evony). I have a few critiques of the list in this video: 1. Castle building and acquisition are part of knowledge, with some discipline mixed in. 2. Stuff like predicting what kind of battle report will come back after a hit (whether you have an up-to-date scout report or not) is a substantial part of knowledge but the video only mentioned as far as reading reports. 3. If money is part of being good at the game, so is having time to grind monsters and whatnot. I submit that the better way to look at the matter is that money makes more apparent how much skill and knowledge you have. 4. Fighting spirit is a very important inclusion. I'm almost k37 and don't have wings despite the PvPers praising my work in Battlefield because I haven't been interested enough. I spent too much time trying to grow as fast as possible (read: zero stuff like Ymir 4), teaching, and managing both within and across alliances. (As a result, the server gained far more PvP prowess than I could ever have brought through my own troops.) 5. Social skills should be on the list. Leadership, negotiation with other players (including inside your own alliance) and with entire other alliances, navigating the language barrier (especially when a language like Japanese or Arabic gets involved), getting along well with your alliance mates, cracking them up with jokes, sharing knowledge, motivating them to play better, the list goes on - I would argue that being socially strong can trump as much as the entire 6-item list - money included - because you can command not only the objective force but the attention, skill, and presence of the biggest keeps on the server. 6. In case what I wrote above doesn't already convince you, some combination of character and wisdom is a major part of this game. Fighting spirit might be enough to get you to tell off someone who deserves it; wisdom and character are necessary to do so proportionately and in a way that will sway the server away from messing with your alliance and toward productive stability. Fighting spirit might make you a force for other players to contend with; wisdom and character can make you a force for the abomination known as Top Games to contend with and even give you a shot at enjoying your time in a spending trap that doesn't seem to care that the attempts to look like they care about the players aren't half convincing. 7. While I agree that Evony is a war game, I consider 100% valid (albeit suboptimal) to play purely as a farmer. There are better games for that, but I'm very insistent that we need to regard the software and, to a lesser extent, the interpersonal environment as a mere object and figure out how to maximize our enjoyment. For most pure-farmers (or perhaps for 99.9% of players), I suspect the answer is actually uninstalling, but it's not that simple once we consider the social dimensions and the enjoyment to be had there. All other things being equal, the player who never fights is in some way lesser than the player who fights, but I suggest thinking about this difference like difference in height - there are certainly advantages to being taller, especially in competitive or demanding situations, but when people are shorter we just accept it. Some players are just happier sticking to farming, and we're all happier long-term if they do. I'm saying this as the principal mouthpiece of the one alliance on the server that insists on KE against all the rhetoric and soundbites. Thus, I propose this list: 1. Theoretical knowledge 2. Execution, independently in PvP and farming (the best players execute well in both) 3. Fighting spirit 4. Social skills 5. Wisdom and character, which bind together all of the above and provide the discipline to carry out an effective big-picture strategy

Very good point 👍 anyway after almost 4 years I decided to take a break. I enter only to check my bubble🤭and guess what, to be able to check the bubble it takes me like 1 minute because of all the ads that pop up randomly for "donating" money lunch for Evony 😂. There are some points to take into consideration here. If you have the knowledge and you don't spend money (I am referring to the low and medium/casual coiner) in order to remain competitive you need either to have bots to run your main and your family accounts or you need to spend like at least 10 hours per day inside this game. It's like a full time job with overtime each day 😂😂😂. The only difference is you need to pay them for your time 😂😂😂. So I will take my break and consider it as a holiday paid by Evony 🤭🤭. Maybe I will return someday, or maybe no, who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️, or maybe I will miss renewing my bubble and they will zero me and this will make it easier for me to just delete the game 🤭🤣. Anyway you are a very good content creator, funny and full of knowledge and it will be always a pleasure for me watching your videos. ❤

I'm curious at what prompted this video. So much frustration! Stuck on a nap server and chafing at only being able to fight once every two weeks? Watching alliance mates screw up badly undoing the good work you've done during SVS? Seeing deep pockets rocket to k45 and yet have no idea how to play? I can understand your frustration although I can't say I've experienced it. As a casual free to play player I've achieved k35 without spending or fighting, but through strict management of resources and taking advantage of cyclical events like the CREs. I rally monsters for smaller players and take satisfaction in watching them grow. When I finally leave the game I'll do so with a satisfaction of helping others and not giving Evony one red cent ever.

I'm also done today with all my layers for K33 and will build my buffs for a couple of months now. Focusing on get ideal land to lvl 3 and put at least 2 red stars on all duty officers. I promised two times I will make a video to encourage other low keep levels. ;) * Of course, I could probably go to K36 (or even higher) with all rss I built with, but once I go there... I think of gear how Aka says he thinks of wall assistants- use them to either fill in a gap or increase a strength. I fiddle with them a bit in Undead to see if I can produce a noticeable effect - and the answer is usually no - they are pretty small compared to all the other buffs.

@@bethbrown6155 I can relate to this, I also stopped playing seriously, I still "play" Evony, but mostly to just observe random servers. I used to be very active and I coin as well, moderately, and I was aiming to get wonders, until I realize, no matter how much I play, as long as I am not willing to spend as much as the big coiners, I will be left behind, I will not be able to get as much scores in svs and battlefields as the whales with more and higher level troops. I cannot train as many troops as they can, since my rss are limited, while also upgrading buildings inside my keep. I won't be able to ascend my generals as fast they can, because again, I cannot score as much during svs to get blood of ares. It's just hard to keep up and I don't want to just be a support to help the whales get their wings or rankings etc.

When k35 was the limit, you had to know how to play the game. With k 40, and especially k45, understanding how to play the game started mattering less and how you built your account mattered more…..and yes, coining accelerates that build

I think it maybe how a player uses the "free stuff" as well as what the spendthrift does with what is purchased.Where can we be more efficient? Well in our City Development. Anyone can use speedups, they are a solution to many player's problems. Until they run out of them. Very few, or so it seems, put great effort into efficiencies. It is not all about massive troops layers. Invest in the things that are not easily lost in battle.

I agree on efficiency. I only kill monsters or join monster rallies with Athelflaed, Baibars, Theodora or Cleopatra. I'm surprised to see big players on my server joining rallies with siege generals. I don't keep track of double drops, but I'm guessing I get a double drop 95 percent of the time. I would say the investments I've made in those generals have paid off well. But to be honest, spending more can allow you better efficiency. Upgrading dragons will help with construction, healing, training and research. Also think about the amount of time you spend doing what in the game. You can kill monsters 24 hours a day, so about 720 hours a month. Battlefield is 16 hours per month (really less with All-Stars, Chalons, etc.). SVS is 96 hours per month. But yeah, I get that it's a war game and that Battlefield and SVS are the marquee events.

I think I'm not very good at evony In now days i just login, bubble join rallies amd then move on In evony some things like events, activity are common they all are related to the things we do commonly Like in every event it involves killing monsters how much grind we can to do killing to those bosses is are at the middle stage of evony. Even if we join rallies and someone else stole the monster it thinks like I'm done for the day. I don't want to spend but sometimes it takes me at a decision spend or not it really sucks i tried different games but you know evony is old other games are not evony That's my case god knows it sucks for me at least My mindset is worst i need a good mood to play the competition is higher in my server it has a 100B K45 (my server 1223) every time i see him i thought of my account which is disgusting I've done some miatakes in past which made my account even worse but i keep playing and learing and still witout spending a dollar after 1 year I'm just a little 350M peice of garbage

You are downplaying the impact of spending money on the game. For example. 1. All of my generals can take 4 skill books, that is it. if you buy packs you gain the abiliity to add at least a 5th book, maybe more. That alone can be a game changer in the abilities of your general. 2. Every gear out there has levels that are are only open to people who spend and all of those directly impact the generals 3. Daggers, are only available for spenders, yet another paywall item. 4. Spending money in many ways allows the player to take their buffs into levels no F2P player can stand up to. I do agree and have gone up against coiners whose buffs were equal to or lower than mine, I have also run into players whos buffs were 4x mine. Like it or not, all good things are paywalled....

I don't think I was downplaying the impact of money in the game, but the fact is that simply spending money doesn't make someone good. It will get you a lot of things - items, gear and other premium things. But is being good simply having more stuff than other people? I don't think so. It is a factor, not disputing that, but it is not everything. Also, you mentioned skill books. As far as I know, all generals can only take 3 skill books. Perhaps you were referring to Specialties? All generals have the ability to get a 5th specialty. Yes, you could spend and get premium specialties, but you can also participate in SvS and gain the 5th specialty that way (Battle-tested). Almost all my main PvP generals have this 5th specialty and I haven't spent for it 😉

And if there was no alts no money and no KZbin or discord to explain to you how well would you do alone- good players like generals are creative and seemly find solutions to most situation but in my opinion there are a lot of hampers in Evony from the people on your team to even the largest players that you get stuck with as a rally leader in all stars - people either see that or don’t and 1000000 percent if you cannot take a all star or chalon castle even of another player and not set a rally effectively and do well in a 4 team situation you foking suck my azzhoke
