I’ve owned almost all of the alpine flip outs (because all of my cars have been gm) cva 1005 and had to buy alpine external alpine DVD player and cd changer, cva 1003, iva d100, iva d300, pioneer avic-n1 and a couple of the first touchscreen kenwoods with the tv tuners pre hdtv.

I used a p300-12 in my mustang for 3 years but the voice coil burnt out recently. It was ok sounding and bumped a bit (probably sound way better inside a hatch). For the money I reccomend a separate amp and sub combo that can be so much higher quality and have flexibility in choice of subs amps and enclosures etc. I called fosgate and they don’t sell replacement subs and said they are a dual 1 ohm so it has .5 ohm dual voice coils 🤷🏻♂️. The amp is a little resistor board and looks like the insides of a 90s Walkman it’s so tiny inside the box. Still.. performed decently for me for a few years just wish they had a little support and I would love bought a replacement and put it in the wife’s trunk. Never buying fosgate again!

On my two Jl slash 1000 amplifiers I ran one bass level knob to phone jack splitter then two two individual short phone lines. Only thing is make sure all are 4 contacts. Use Ethernet products if amplifier requires wider jack.

Yet another awesome and informative video. You guys are legends, you think the same way as any ordinary/normal basshead would think. I just bought and installed one of these. and guess what? i love the nice clean bass comes out of this one. I actually was thinking the same to purchase one more and have two of these. A demo of sound and bass would have made my day. I guess the customer must have picked up the vehicle by now. Demo could help a lot in our decision making. JUST FOR THE RECORDS: I am on the "Project Clean Hard Bass", deep and smooth bass for daily music.

Kenwood KRC789, 10 disc changer, boot mount DVD player flip out screen, roof mount screen & 2 Alpine V12 Amps DDDrive 17cm components & Focal 5 1/4 coax speakers, Pioneer Pump Sub. Was great fun putting all in the Previa, shame the hybrid has an integrated screen, crazy thing the head unit has cd player & Mini disc, japanese satnav but everything is in Japanese.

I went back went I was 23 but it wasn’t the same anymore I don’t feel that hard bass hitting my chest I wonder how they used to do it.

I was able to fit a single 12 p3 running off an old school a JBL mobo block BP.600 in my Jeep. Tight fit but doable, but that all came to an end after that one July night I went to bed with the top off. Who knew it would rain in July....That amp was beast. And yea, why is it, car audio technology has seemed to regressed over that last few years?
