I was considering a Z. I've done a lot of reading and watched a lot of videos. You sealed the deal. No way. Why would anyone want a car that needs so much expensive work. Shame on you, Nissan.

I've read that the reason why the paint is so soft is because when/if there needs to be any correcting done it makes the job easier. It does really suck though. Good video.

I have a 2014 sport touring. The nose is upgraded between yours and mine. Fangs are gone and there is led daytime running lights. Your almost nailed the difference. It is four piston front and two piston rear and the diameter of the rotors are bigger. You go from 18" wheels to 19" forged rays. Also the interior and seats have upgrades like suede and leather.

I've heard the RJM clutch assembly is great, but that's very expensive for what it is. I went the route of the softer assist spring and was very happy with how much it improved the clutch feel. After a year of owning my Z, I finally feel confident driving it. From what I've heard, as long as you change your clutch fluid, your CSC should at least make 50,000 miles. I got my car used with 17,000 miles, changed the clutch fluid at 20,000 and it was black.

Problems gallery gaskets. clutch CSC problem. Rack and pinion. Need to put a oil cooler if you run it harder.

Great video. Don't know anything about working on cars but the 370z is so cool looking and I'm interested in learning to drive manual and do at least some of my own work, more than just oil changes. I've heard these can be a little weird when driving, would you recommend against one of these being my first experience with manual and working on cars if I find an opportunity to pick one of these up in like $11-20k range and around 50-80k miles ish? I'm not looking to go crazy with it, just have fun driving a cool car, maybe do a little drifting on empty roads or parking lots (I live in the country)
