Interesting how he thinks that England won’t hold the same ties to religion as it once did and the counterargument offered by Ali. Islam came to preserve the very reasons that caused atheism to emerge as we now know it, in France during 1587 we had people who called themselves “Hébertists” derived from Jacques Hébert who was a staunch anti theist and completely against christianity. The emergence of Atheism was due to the conditions imposed by France onto its people and Hébert was someone who used atheism to gain political power as were many other staunch atheists during that time period. So atheism has its roots in a lot of the concepts that Islam was designed to protect. It was nothing to do with protesting against there being a higher power but rather, against the political France regime. If that isn’t a sign that Islam is the true religion, idk what else is

I think the answer here by Brother Ali (ALlah reward him) needs reconsideration. We know Shariah is the best law for us as muslims, but since when did Allah say this law will work in isolation for unislamic countries under their system, especially as the system in this country doesn't have the same safeguards that Islam requires. It's too simplistic, and just as importantly, the answer will backfire. Would be better to say IMO that "capital punishment is part of Islam and we believe in it within the overall system of shariah law, whether you want to adopt it is your decision to make as we don't have the same system".
