Great guide! One important thing that I don't think was mentioned is the first stage you choose on stage select determines who you fight as the boss on the Highway stage. Always choose Sewer System first because Sobut is the easiest, Blunt (Sky High) is harder, and Envy (Airport) is just plain unfair.

So I am having difficulty in enabling a graphical overlay to see my rank, collected medals etc. I found a cheat.dat file, but that seems to onkly work with a very old mame version. (Though I was not able to make the old Mame version run on my machine). What overlay do you use? Or does anyone know how I can activate this?

Great video, Pearl! The extend item you got should be an special extend one because you dropped three of them before, right? However, it’s not clear to me if that is the case because the text when you pick up the extend is partially hidden by the scenario. Do you know if it’s an special extend?
