You seem like a natural teacher and it's really neat to watch you in that mode and how happy and fulfilled it seems to make you. I'm sincerely hoping it's not lost on you how much of an inspiration you are to thousands of your viewers and in every endeavor there will always be a handful like the basement dweller that will complain about something. It usually seems to be people that are unhappy in their own life, be it jealously or their own insecurities, sadly it's inevitable. While I do understand why the basement dweller really got to you, particularly with the lengths he went to, always keep in mind how many Alex's and Aiden's out there that you'll never meet or speak to, but are just as inspired by your videos as they are. Just think of how many future pilots that got their start from your videos. The basement dwelling idots will always be just that, and will always be unhappy. The only thing that seems to work on them is when they're totally ignored, it kind of makes their complaining invalid like a tree falling in the woods when no one hears it. Good luck my friend. Also this was one of my favorite videos!

Good morning Greg! Great video, thank you! Kind of a long comment but a quick story you might enjoy…. I was born legally blind but growing up I never really knew how bad my eyes were. The F-16 has always been my favorite aircraft and I dreamed of flying it. It wasn’t until my mid teenage years that I came to truly realize my eyes were too bad to fly. I’m not totally blind but I’m 20/200 which is considered “legally” blind and by no means anywhere close to the 20/40 required for my ticket. I went into the computer field and started playing with Supercomputers and Storage for a living. My uncle was a Management DER and I started helping him as everything went computerized. He made me a DER Candidate out of the LAACO (back in the good-ol-boy days when a MDER could do that lol) and I’ve written thousands of 8110-3’s and witnessed more than my fair share of DO-160 and DO-178 lab testing. Sadly, he’s in the 5th or 6th stages of dementia now and so I’m more of less out of the aviation industry. My son Kyle was born in ’99 and as he grew up I made frequent mention of him getting a pilot’s license. I travel a lot for work which requires a lot of commercial flying. I still talk to Kyle and his best friend PJ (my ‘bonus’ son) about getting their ticket. We were all three traveling together the beginning of August in San Diego and so I scheduled an intro flight a Palomar Airport. But, I didn’t tell them about it until we hit the driveway of the airport. They were both ‘terror-fied’ but they both went up, separately, in the left seat and got about 15 mins to stick time. The instructor clearly saw how scared they were. They went up white-knuckle trembling but came back down grinning ear to ear. I knew we were on to something. They both got a Certificate of Completion for the Introductory flight and couldn’t stop talking about it. Deep down, I was very happy. At the end of August we were in LA and so I sent them up on a real demo flight at Cable Airport in Upland. For those that don’t know, Cable Airport is a very, very small field but it’s the largest privately owned airport in the world. Again, they went up separately and when the instructor asked how much control they wanted, they both said “all of it!”. Again, they came back elated and excited! We live in Lake Havasu City, AZ, a small town with a small un-towered field. We have a couple instructors here, there’s a single 172 rental and a small FBO and they’re trying to get a ground school going. We were driving around the other day and my son asked me “When can I fly again?” A quick call to one of the instructors and viola, he’s going up again tomorrow and so we begin! Now, I’m the one that’s elated! Now, he’s interested and talking about getting all his ratings and totally onboard with my idea to ultimately buy a TBM. Of course, a Premier would be nice too lol…. I have one of the best home simulators around running X-Plane and now FS2020 but obviously that’s as close as I’ll ever get. I can’t even tell you how much enjoyment I get out of your videos and all the others that bring similar content. But, I do have to say your trip to the Porsche Experience was by far my favorite video! I’m very happy you were able to continue making videos. I know I’ll never get in the right seat but if you’re ever in Vegas with some notice I’d love to meet up and buy you a coffee and hear some of your F-16 stories, my favorite aircraft! Thanks again!

Awesome! So decent of you to take the time to put Aden in the Right Seat, and let him have the experience. High Fives, Greg!

Constructive criticism for "Alex", as he's obviously an inexperienced pilot who's still learning. He really ought to pay more attention to detail about his interaction with ATC. Until you're experienced enough to understand pilot-controller slang and common phrases, he really ought to use complete and correct phraseology. It's painfully obvious that his casual nature feeds an ego and that ultimately could encourage a hazardous attitude. Just use correct phraseology until you are more experienced. Just sayin'. Look I'm a double-I, and improper phraseology is a pet peeve, and when you become a double-I, it'll become a pet peeve of yours too. Trust me.

I was gonna type the exact thing lol, you stole the words from my mouth lol, but yet again, he was probably nervous as even taxing a jet can be overwhelming.... he does have to pay attention though, especially when he’s doing the comms.. I used to have the same problem until I got screamed by LaGuardia ground, Kennedy Ground and Tower, Republic Airport TWR, and NY approach a few times, I learned to pay attention lol thankfully without incident... great video though

My wife was walking past and heard that and laughed out loud. Well played, Greg! I think you just gained another fan. Greetings from fellow Hoosiers (and Purdue grad).

I remember when Alex flew with you last time, he was very excited about Purdue and the future. Looks like he has kept his course and is moving forward with life. A young man like him will go far in the world today, and he give me hope. Greg, all the mentoring and effort you put into the young people that you bring along in that right seat really does make a difference for them, I know you know that, just wanted to say it.

This is a great channel Greg. I took AFJROTC in high school in Greensboro, NC. Soloed in '82. Joined the Army as a crew chief on AH-1S Cobras with a front seat flight spot. Got out of the Army in '90. I Live in South Lake Tahoe and have a pvt in gliders at Minden/Tahoe Airport. I'm crossing back over to power. I always wanted to be a Jet pilot. Probably too late at 57 though... Unless i hit it big!

What a first class kid. Kudos to you Greg for mentoring and being such a great role model to all the kids (young and old) who love flying.

Alex is doing exactly what I didn’t have the wisdom to do at Purdue 65 long years ago, and still regretting it. Good decision, good luck, and nice landing, Alex!

Greg, you are so humble and a very kind person. It comes through in your personality. Again, this is nice with the multi camera angles on the screen at one time. Nice to see your altitude and speed among other things. Alex did a superb job of explaining his path to becoming a pilot. Thanks for sharing.
