i did a 3 week vascular surgery rotation in medical school. THE HARDEST ROTATION EVER! As a medical student I was at the hospital from 4AM-6PM 6days/week and probably gonna get cancer from all the radiation. Even after a "successful" surgery most of the patients had bad outcomes and many of them died. Also, one of the vascular residents quit. What a specialty LOL.
