I just find it sad that so many men need to have this information handed to them. They can't come to this on their own conclusion, despite someone doing so before them. Like you need to join the club and have your hand held as you're walked towards the other side but then convinced you got there on your own. Meanwhile, because you didn't actually get there on your own, you kind of don't get it still. It's like being told fire is hot and understanding it but never having touched it yourself. Then at the end of the process you avoid using lighters because you remember learning that fire is hot lol. It's as if so many of these men are weak and can't stand on their own, can't learn on their own. Perhaps this was done intentionally in order to capture men who may try to seek knowledge on their own and stand on their own. Pre-form their Stone so they're not a sharp edge. You got played yourself and you'll in turn play others. 🤷‍♂️

I went to join, visited two lodges in my area, I quickly realized though I don’t know if it’s for me. There were guys there who told me they joined cuz there dad were members, there was a lot of fat out of shape miserable dudes, also no business man, a lot of just boring types of dudes. I was shocked. I thought much higher. And I’m sure in other areas it is. But I didn’t join because I’m not like those guys, I’m in great shape, I own a business, I work very hard and am self sufficient, I thought presidents where masons, it just didn’t feel right.

My whole family (All Uncles and my Father) are Free Masons and I’ve known about this since I was about 3. I am 45 now. They to this day absolutely will not let me into this cult or whatever it is. …everytime we have family get togethers everyone (my Uncles, Father) will at some point lock all the rest of the family out of a particular room in the house. They will spend a few hours in there. We (my cousins and my Brother are not allowed to be a part of their Free Mason whatever it is)…and they perform some kind of ritual I am assuming. I am not personally a Mason, or affiliated with a Lodge at all. All I've done is some research, because the subject fascinates me. From what I can tell, through the rituals and oaths that are out there for the public.. nothing appears like that at all. Masonry doesn't push ANY form of Religion. Actually one of their largest founding principles (for the time, and generation the Masons started) put them in direct opposition of the Catholic Church. Which was the only accepted religion of the time. Free Masonry was founded on accepting ANY faith in a single deity. Basically, all you're required is to believe in SOME FORM of a higher power.. Aside from that, nothing religious is really forced upon you. But going into the subject, you must realize that the entire Fraternity was based on stories from "A" bible. Meaning the "rituals" and such, are Religiously charged.. But they're not pushing any single religion on their Brothers. Also, sorry for the long book of a reply. @@ArabDweller

So we're going to continue building on that, and I've also presented an idea to post a monthly 'tips and tricks' for elevating Lodge experiences in our GL's magazine - The Leader; which was received very well. I figured, that if the Grand Master selected me to be his Senior Grand Steward (knowing how ambitious I am) - well then, the Junior and I are going to do Steward stuff, and in this day and age, it's through platforms like this. My goal is to use this very short time as GLO's to reach our jurisdiction to promote elevating our fellowship through the art of hosting. I'm not overly boujie, just a little boujie, and appreciate nicer things like matching silverware, matching plates, table runners, you know... Creating a space that reflects the internal beauties of our fraternity. How many times have you visited a Lodge and the parking lot looks dumpy.?. Overgrown landscape, dusty windows - and inside it's equally unkept. I mean, do we have to remind our membership that we are Masons, and the title itself obligates us to strive for perfection... I know those aren't Steward duties, but the Stewards are the caretakers, and are responsible for creating a warm, welcoming ambiance that reflects us in the highest light. Anyway, I could talk Masonry all day, but work keeps getting in the way... I'd love to collaborate though...
