Your walks about the countryside has uncovered ancient ruins, quaint little villages to glorious cathedrals. What an amazing life you both live! Take care of each other and keep the vlogs coming. Would love to see Fran cooking up something in the kitchen, and Rich, you might want to show us your paintings and why it inspired you. You’re both so talented! Once again a gentle and a stress free time watching your Vlog, and this one brought back many memories for me when Rich started to talk about those 'dark months' around Xmas. In the dim dark past i did spend some time in England, mainly in London and down on the South Coast, and one of the main reasons in moving back to Sydney were those 'dark months' without seeing the bright sunlight. It is very true of Rich talking about how the weather can change your mind-set, very true indeed.

I know that you mentioned the voltage issue, but in some far north (arctic circle) places, doctors prescribe a type of light box to people that are suffering with the darkness and their mood, mood swings etcetera. I haven’t looked right into this, but I just thought that it was interesting. I remember seeing it on a documentary/science program years ago. Hope you’re enjoying your mooring and the garden is progressing. Take care. 🙂🐿🌈❤️

You can get cheap battery powered LED puck lights. Sometimes they stick on the surface. Sometimes they are magnetic. They can be very bright. I can recommend those to lighten up the darkness. As for water caused slippery surfaces, yesterday I was watching a dog show and one of the handlers slipped down a damp ramp. I am glad you are still enjoying your time on the canals.

Wow what a lovely video you made and a wonderful memories you’re making! My parents had a narrow boat when I was a kid/teenager we did some great journeys. It did get a bit much every half term, holiday, being dragged aboard but it was an upgrade from camping and we made our own fun aboard. It really hit its stride when my dad used to throw me the keys when I was 18 for me and my friends to use for Henley regatta, good times, can’t quite believe he did that, what a legend 😎 looking forward to introducing my kids to boating in a few years time. Best of luck, thank you for the vid and here’s to more happy times

Lovely to hear you reminiscing of your life on board. I am sooo envious - especially now that we are retired. We had to sell our beloved boat some years ago due to my husband's shifts being changed so much we just couldn't get up to her often enough. Mr D is the ost amazing item of kitchen equipment I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I saw Shaun using his and asked the family o club together for my 70th birthday for one. I just wish I'd had one all the years I'd been working weird shifts. I actually retired on my 70th birthday so have had a wonderful few years using Mr D . It is so good to see you both on the vlog again I love your walks as well as your cruising.
