Hello Mr. Coupland, good to see you making these videos. I've been a fan of yours since your yamaha f-310 review. Got one for myself after seeing that. The fingerpicking was beautiful. Thank you for this video because i was thinking of selling my guitar. Take care of yourself and continue inspiring 😁👍

Haha, I think so but I think it’ll be an okay job to work while I finish up college.

This is a good video for any budding salesman - not just those selling guitars. In my day job I sell industrial equipment, and I can certainly relate to the points made here.

Excelent dissertation, and the British accent makes it very enjoyable.

What about the add on sales? The Case, the tuner, the spare strings, plectrums etc (LOL)

Q. How do you end up with a million dollars selling guitars? A. Start with two million dollars! Music stores in my area open and close all the time....

The first place I worked was at Ivor Mairants in London where they had the simple idea to have a chime bar on the wall with the beater on a bit of string. Electronic tuners had not been invented and anyway, no one would want to pinch a chime bar.

The amount of wasted guitars is appalling nowadays. A floor model (I witnessed an Ibanez acoustic/electric, but happens with almost every brand) got stolen the nut that holds the output jack and it was marked as "defective" which means it would get DESTROYED. Yes, really.
