Soaking Food Plot Mix Before Planting

I have little to no rain forecasted during my planting window. Dr. Grant ‪@GrowingDeerTV‬ says to plant 45-60 days before the average first frost and here in Oklahoma, the time to plant falls between September 1st through the 15th. I have a bud that suggested I pre-soak the seed so that it already has some moisture content to help with not having any rain so that is what I am testing. One half is soaked and the other half is dry so we’ll see which one performs better. I got this seed on the ground in my hidey-hole on September 19th due to some car issues that prevented me from getting to my property when I would’ve liked. I will post an update next time I get out there which will most likely be after the season starts. I don’t want to be in there too much unless I’m hunting.

I’m headed out there soon so I should have an update in the near future! I will say, we got some unexpected, HEAVY rainfall a few days after I planted this so we’ll see.
