You're not alone...I grew up with GOD in my heart, but my father was a raging alcoholic and some things took turns in my life that caused me to drink. Technically since it's past midnight, today is my 33rd birthday, September 12th. I've been a functioning alcoholic for years and I know exactly what you are going through. There was times I was almost drinking 7 days a week, but I've slowed down and I HATE the revolving door that is alcoholism. I realized that Jesus stopped helping me because I don't call on his name or help myself. Sometimes I slip up and go back to drinking a few days, but the past 4 days I've exercised hard and prayed. I ask myself when I'm going to break this cycle, but I feel it in my soul that it's going to change because I'm tired of losing...There is victory in the Lord our GOD. Just know when you lay your head down, someone out there is fighting your same battles. He will not fail us. I will pray for you that you will heal and that we can be delivered through our Lord and Savior. 🙏

I am like this too but I decided to give myself a schedule. By waking up early and the first thing I do is pray and read my Bible for like an hour. Every day we have to deny our flesh, remember the flesh is weak but the spirit is willing so don’t be too harsh on yourself but discipline yourself. Have you heard the story of the shepherd leaving the 99 sheep to go look for the one that was lost? You are the lamb that was lost and called out for the Shepherd... He will come find you and bring you back to the flock. God rejoices when you return! I asked God why He let's us wander away (after I had been lost and cried out to Him to be found) . He answered that we learn to stick close to Him and we learn that we can call on Him and trust/depend on Him to answer and find us. We learn to keep our eyes (our focus) on God and His promises. My husband on 20 years died 2 years ago and there were many days I contemplated ending my life, as he was not just my husband, he was my lover and best friend. All kinds of evil thoughts ran through my mind. And as they were going through, I thought about the scripture how God would put no more on us than we can bare and I prayed in the midst of my weakness and asked for his help in dealing with the loss, my negative emotions and thoughts. AsI thought about all the times He’d brought me through and how much he loves me. I also thought about how my husband is in heaven, I will see him again, and he is no longer suffering. It didn’t help to think of that at first yet it also helped me to not hate God. As many times people fault God for the loss of a loved one. Yet he is not responsible. He came so they we may walk in healing and a life of abundance. I hope my testimony encourages. And look I am still here! God is faithful just pray in the midst of your weaknesses and pain. Homesteadmama, talk to God about what you are feeling. Ask Him to show you His path for your life. Be open to all He brings to you, follow through with everything He has for you to experience. If it's not for you yet, come back to it later and try it again. Watch religious TV programs for ideas, use KZbin for ideas, go to conferences, try Zoom prayer meetings/Bible studies, etc. God does some wonderful things for me as I follow my path with Him - He gives me His God Sightings. I so love when I find these. Sometimes when I walk, there is a flower where a flower shouldn't be, God placed it there for me to find and I smile. When I'm down and into my problems, God sends someone to say Hello and give me a smile, my load is lightened. When I'm not sure of where I am going, God provides someone with directions or a guide to walk me where I need to go. He also sends me messages - a statement on an 18-wheeler trailer or billboard, an answer to a question over the radio or TV. I can't forget His creative side - sunsets and sunrises that take my breath away and painted it just for me. It's fun because the more you find His God Sightings, the more you look, and the more you look, the more you find. Your relationship grows closer so give it a try, you will be amazed at what He sends you and where you find them. Ask Him to give you peace and patience with your research as you grow closer to Him. Your heart will tell you, you are on the right track or maybe you are one of the lucky ones that can hear Him talk to you. I'm not that blessed, but I feel Him when I need Him. I can see what He has done and some of what He is doing in my life. He's always with us, just ask Him in. Hold on though, the ride will be unbelievable!!! When you don't know what to ask or how to explain what went on or what's going on or words just won't come, say the one-word prayer - Jesus! I use this when I have my nightmares and I am able to stop it right in its tracks stir a bit and fall back asleep without truly waking up. These videos really help me with my nightmares. This site was on my path of discovery, and I absolutely love the results of following the path He's created for my journey. I've got more, but I'll stop here! It looks a bit long now!!! Thank you to everyone who prayed for my husband. He was discharged from the hospital in December 2021 and has been home medically cleared of every complication! He's been in therapy since to walk on his own completely but I know that the Lord who started a good work in him is more than able to complete it to the end🙏 this is my praise report. I pray that everyone reading this will be encouraged that there is nothing too hard for our Lord to do. He is able to move mountains! My husband was critically ill and the doctors were about to have 'the talk' with me but JESUS!🙏 He alone gets the praise, adoration, glory🙏 You are not alone. I cried whilst listening to this, it's so beautiful and peaceful. My soul is heavy, it has been for awhile now and I know that the enemy is preying on my weakness. I lost my father last year, my relationship with my mother is strained, my love and I are in separation, I suffer with addiction, depression, a chronic illness and my low paid job fatigues me. I pray for change, hope and the strength to face each and every day. At one point, I lost faith, I questioned faith but god wants me to hear this, I feel it.
