I use soap when the customer says something about the chlorine smell if its overwhelming odor. Other than that if there are a butt load of spiders and spider webs or cobwebs ill definitely use soap because it seems to help take them out of the corners and from under the eaves, the surfactant clings to them and takes them down....

Some people say they do it to get rid of the bleach smell, but in the few years I have been washing I have not had one person say anything bad about the smell. The women who do comment on it say the outside smells like the inside when they clean, so I take that as a positive.
