Thank you for the beautiful video! I love using resins in my soaps. One of the first soaps I've created and is still my favourite is Mastic soap. I use the infused resin as well as a decoction of the leaves. I also use myrrh and frankincense in a couple of other soaps, paired with other essential oils and it makes them smell amazing! Can't wait to try the Dragon's Blood resin soon.

I am wondering if resin makes the soap longer lasting. Do you happen to know?

I got a variety of tree resin at a Middle Eastern food store. Some use it for incense. I have some infused in vodka but have not soaped with it. The scent is lovely. I think using oil infused is going to be the way so not to have any alcohol create problems. Thanks teach for this video.

I Love the video. I have been wanting to try resin before but heard it can ruin a grinder because it is so hard. If you can use a mortar/pestal it cant be that hard right? LOL so I think I will try this really soon. I LOVE dragons blood fo so this is something to try. question... how much resin to oil? Thanks again Cathy. You really inspire me to keep improving my soaping!

This looks and sounds beautiful! I really want to try it. I know you said 2 oz. of sweet almond oil, but how much of the resin did you put into the 2 oz.? Thank you! Have you ever tried frankincense? I'm wondering if any of that scent would come through.

Can the powder be infused with jojoba oil instead of almond?

Where can resin be purchased? Also, when you say you use cool lye solution, did you refrigerate it? Room temp for me is about 80*.
