You guys have merely scratched the surface of a monumental talent. You've gone to the theatre and seen a play called Hamlet by an author named Shakespeare, were mightily impressed, and thought, "I wonder if this guy's written anything else good." The complete 13 minute version of THE TALE OF JENNY AND SCREECH is Ren's King Lear. Try that next.

The whole point of this piece, is that it's not about either side 'winning'. It's not 'Good Ren' vs 'Bad Ren' or 'Real Ren vs Negative Ren'. They're BOTH the real Ren and neither is entirely good nor entirely bad. :)

Ren has never really planned a tour. He just got back to Brighton from Canada a few months ago. He had finished 1.5 years worth of treatments for his Lyme disease and its co-infections. Which involved IV’s 5 days a week, and brain training. Trying to create new neural pathways since his are damaged from being ill for 13 years. He found out that he still had Bartonella bacteria in his blood after he was back. Ren always pushes himself too hard and while filming a video pain in his eye became so bad he had to go to A&E. His autoimmune had turned on his left eye. He’s now home resting, and pretty much knocked off his feet while adjusting to changes in meds. He will be headed back to Canada for an undetermined amount of time. Keeping in mind that Ren had already been through 2 stem cell transplants around 2016. He’s had it rough. All he wants, is to lessen the pain he has to live with so he can continue creating music. He understands he will never be completely free of pain. The Lyme did to much permanent damage. A lot of Renegades have similar issues as Ren. I’ve been sick for 20 years. I’m home bound and can barely get around. My organs have been damaged by my autoimmune. I subbed for Ren. This should be fun guys!😉❤️

Lov'ya guys! I highly recommend Ren's 1 million subscriber thank-you speech. Its a little bit more of an insight to Ren's way of interacting with his world. It will resonate through every Ren performance you see. I look forward to seeing lots more of Ren from you old birds (from a 65-yo old bird himself).

Troubles might be a good track revealing an important part of his story with illness and health that affects everything he does and makes. The official track and acoustic versions are both excellent I would say he is music and creativity flows out of him like an ocean. Occasionally his illness challenges this flow and has interupted his plans The KJB situation stress has probably contributed to his health breakdown atm Millions of us love him and his work. This song has 39 million views. The range and quality of his discography speaks for itself Lots of info interviews and writing out there but I would also suggest you watch his Million subscribers ty video from summer 2023 its short and profound

The issues he had were with a stolen beat by Kujo Beats on his song Sick Boi, the title track of his number 1 album, and Sick Boi got taken down for a while, he made Kujo Beat Down to release the anger and in it, he let's his dark side take over. With you both for your journey down the Ren rabbit hole and subbed

He taljs about all the tendet topics and believes in countrr culture. In these days, that means finding common ground and respect. He lost most of 19 through 26 to his illness but still wrote lyricalky genius songs called: Depression Insomnia Diazepam Penitence Hold On Heretic Humble Everybody Drops Crutch is beautiful and raw video done with no budget and at his sickest in 2015. Ren had undiagnosed Lyme disease for many years eating his body and brain. A lot of his music reflects that. All different and he often goes deep but also has fun tracks. He has just gone back to Toronto for some very heavy treatments. Good you have some suggestions... he is really an artist of multiple genres. If you want to understand his personlity, who he is and what he stands for, look at his thank you for 1 million subscribers, it is uplifting and unique. - Great reaction, love you guys.

Ren was born and raised in Wales, to English parents. He's lived all of his adult life in Southern England, mainly in Brighton on the South Coast. He definitely doesn't have a Welsh accent. Any Brit hearing him for the first time and knowing nothing about him, would assume that he's English. His accent is pretty much generic Southern English, with hints and some inflections of Manchester (his father is from Manchester) and of London. His nationality is British, of course and he's described himself as such but he defines himself more strongly as Welsh and that's how he usually defines himself. I have heard him describe himself as English on a couple of occasions but I think those were almost slips of the tongue. Probably down to his English parentage and the fact that he's lived in England for so long. :)

Thank you for clarifying. My untrained ear was hearing Scottish for some reason.
@toniyoung51313 ай бұрын
I'm Scottish and I can see why you thought that. I hear some Welsh inflections in his diction, now and then. I was born in South West England, but have lived in Scotland for 64 of my 71 years. People in the UK often pick up the local dialect when they move to a different area. Ren's diction is much clearer than most artists I've listened to, which is many in 60 years of listening to popular music (i was 9 when The Beatles had their first top 10 hit, been deep into music since then). I was never a fan of rap, but I can't get enough of Rens melodic, animated rap. I think his Welsh language background is responsible for that. Listen to Seven Sins to get a flavour of his Welsh accent.

I just saw your Hi Ren reaction, and put this journal entry of Ren's as my comment to that reaction. ~~~~~~jAN 01, 202~~rEN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Up until I was 9 years old, I would intermittently hear a voice in my head that was not my own. The voice was distinctly different to mine, and always negative. It would self criticize or urge me to do things I knew to be morally wrong. The most peculiar thing about the voice was that it took no effort on my behalf to produce. My own thoughts always felt like there was a process that required effort to bring them to the forefront of my mind, this voice appeared as though it was spoken by another. The sentences felt predetermined like they had already been constructed. I remember very vividly at 9 years old, becoming very frustrated with the voice. I stood in my back yard, internally screaming at the voice to be silent again and again, and it did. In a flash there was silence, to the point where my head felt like an empty room. I wasn't used to the quiet and that voice never returned. It almost felt lonely in my head. When I got older I had intermittent bouts with auditory hallucinations where I would hear perfect symphonies, usually at night when drifting off to sleep. They were so clear that they sounded like they were emanating from a radio in the corner of my room. I knew they weren't there, but for some reason they never came with the feeling of fear. I also recall sitting on a bus at the age of 15, and hearing the sound of a crowded room, with about 100 voices chattering away, I was the only person apart from the driver on the bus. These experiences were always very brief, and few and far between. My last hallucination was during an intense bout of psychosis in 2015, and was my first visual hallucination. I was walking down a pavement after jumping out my mums car in a crossroads in a moment of frustration and distress with my condition. I was trying to run from myself. What appeared to be a homeless man with a dark complexion approached me, and asked me what was wrong. I explained that I had been sick most my life, and I wasn't sure I had the strength to continue. He looked at me, and smiled and told me 'everything is going to be okay in the end Ren.' I had not told him my name. There was something so overpoweringly sincere about this very simple message, which brought with it an overwhelming feeling of inner peace, and in a flash, he vanished. My rational brain always linked these experiences to what the doctors have told me, that there are parts of my brain compromised by the autoimmunity in my body. That the myelin sheaths surrounding the complex electrical system that conduct my thoughts were damaged and compromised, causing these lucid experiences that I knew did not exist inside the physical world. The part of me that edges away from logical and rational thought always attributed these thoughts to some kind of otherworldly intervention, that made my thoughts the battleground of some spiritual tug of war. For a long time I never really acknowledged this part of myself, for with it brought the danger and stigma of sounding like a crazy person. I decided with my latest release, to the best of my ability, to capture and express this chess match of thought. Hi Ren comes out in just over 24 hours. I can't wait for you all to hear it.

4 full takes done in half an hour as they were asked to leave by the landlord of the building who said they were making too much noise, Ren begged and convinced them to give them more time and he gave them 30 minutes. 3 cameras. This is apparently the 4th take with rumours the last act(the speech) is taken from the third take but also this hasn’t had much confirmation. I’d suggest The 13 minute version of The tales of Jenny & Screech next, just make sure there’s no subtitles. Almost all of his music videos are single shot videos but multiple takes. Some with very few some with a lot.
