I love the way they all leave room for each other's talent to breathe. They're not competing with each other, they're complementing each other. I think it's quite rare to see a band of such young men whose egos don't jostle.

You are one of the first to notice how well Glenn the drummer is playing. I don't know if it's the mix, but he just sounds so tight, love it!

One of my Favs. Ren just feeling that bass - so 🔥 Then his emotion singing that last "Nobody Knows" - he has been through hell - you can feel the pain in there. Another funny thing is Romain goes to do his guitar solo a couple times, but Gorran was still riffing on the lyrics so he had to back down - at one point Ren just grins at Romain, I assume because they love it when their friend is feeling the music. They were so fun & such a great set of super talented boys.

When the CRASH comes in on Wade In The Water- it feels like a wave is crashing behind Ren and Romain❤❤❤ I love it.

Ren played a strong bass in this band. He loved playing bass, and probably did so because Romaine was such a good lead guitarist. He and Romaine took turns at lead, but it is always a delight to hear Ren on bass. Who else does lead bits on bass?

This was 2018 I believe. The red suspenders was 2021 or 22(?) I just love Ren getting lost in the music. In Troubles he sings that after the stem cell treatment let him get back into performing that "my soul heard music for the first time. Beauty was the word i used.." Wade in the water and Trouble so hard ate the exemplification of that .

Your channel and Tim Welch’s channel are my favorite for just pure enthusiasm and appreciation of just how gifted Ren ( Big Push ) are. I have no musical talent so it’s always mind blowing to me but seeing a seasoned vet also mind blown is why music is special and connects us all.

I think it funny that when Gorran was fixing the strap Ren says it's weird, not when Gorran rubbed the back of Ren's head. It's so adorable. I am so happy that Barry White had to sing. The red suspenders are one set and it's a party. such good vibes for all the songs. People requested I Shot The Sheriff and not the 3 songs in the mash up. So reactors tend to pick a video with just that one song. The performance is good, but it doesn't have the energy. Great reaction as usual. When I see your reaction pop up I click.

I alao remember hearing gorran saying he had to change the strap bc he was afraid when ren started thrashing about while playing, he might drop the guitar. And then he goes on to thrash about while playing 😂 its what i like to call ren "catching the holy musical ghost "😂 ren is an absolute beast on the bass, always love when he plays it 💜
@dubbayabird66802 ай бұрын
He absolutely destroys the bass in 'paint it black' retake. Amazing. I've picked up the bass in my 50s because of that performance. Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out lol
@67goat2 ай бұрын
Gorran swaps out the straps because it is an acoustic strap that Gorran needed for his guitar. Also, because the way Ren had to have it on the bass, the bass could have easily slipped out.

Gorran is worth checking out his solo stuff, and he sings lead on the Big Push’s version of Paint It Black while Ren abuses the bass in a way that is still illegal in 13 western states and Canada.

Ren has a similar story. He wanted to produce beats and music, but he didn't have any one that wanted to sing. So, he started rapping and singing.

Ren favourite thing in the big push is to play the bass so you will see more, probably because he likes hearing Romaine play as much as we do. They became so tight by never playing anything the same twice lol.

Ironic story at the beginning... that was Ren, too. He said he started out just wanting to make beats as a kid, but there was no one in his Welsh village to rap or sing for him so he decided to do it himself. Romain sings, too. He just sings the least... prefers his guitar solos to vocal solos, I imagine 😂

Such a great performance, enjoyed this reaction as always ! By the way, in UK suspenders are used to hold up stockings and braces hold up trousers. "Potayto / Potarto" I guess we'll never know whether red suspenders secretly played a part of the performance but to be honest, when these guys got together anything's possible🤣

Ren, for unknown reasons, had the strap hung loose on the horn of the instrument. Gorran, a good friend knowing Ren's performance style, made sure their instrument didn't break the first time he lifted both hands.

Only the one song is a Nina Simone tribute (the one Gorran Sings). She didn't record the other two songs. Trouble So Hard is Vera Hall. Wade in the Water is tied to a lot of musicians, but not Nina Simone as far as I can tell.
